Way back in 1994, there was a little drag queen from Puerto Rico who went to her local Cable Access TV station and decided she couldn’t wait until 2005 for the Internet and YouTube to be invented, so she started podcasting and video blogging before these things even existed.
Here’s the pilot episode of my award winning TV show “El Chow de Faustina.” Faustina was a blonde, thickly accented drag queen who enjoyed talking about politics, culture and makeup, while singing whatever song popped into her head, which usually was Eartha Kitt songs.

The show was really funny, and by funny, I mean weird.
I loved the way you switched back and forth randomly between English and Spanish.
I absolutely loved the vegan salad dressing made with egg whites. Awesome.
I dunno what kind of shows they have now on The Public access channel, but I know there has been nothing that was quite like this! 1994, I would have only bee 6 years old back then, I suppose how much the culture has changed in Austin since then is debatable…
but Fausto is hardly recognizable in this video! Lovely singing, and couldn’t get over those nice legs with the stockings haha. A delightful treat and a look back into Fausto’s past!

Ay que rica y bonita! Y que suerte! I was in Las Cruces in 1992/1993 like Linda (PettyGay?). If I had just waited one more year, I could have seen this wonderful program. Alas, I moved away and had to wait until January 2007 to hear your melodious ululations. Double eyebrows?!?!? What does it mean? It’s enough to make a baboon jealous. Thanks for posting this.

I see you needn’t have worried about those videos being lost… thank goodness. Love the Eye Shadow above the eyebrows. So was your accent thicker back then and you have lost it over time or were you playing it up over the top ?
