Yeow! The most electrifying appearance Senator John Kerry ever gave wasn’t during his bid for U.S. President, it was last week at the University of Florida. The somewhat humorous, but nonetheless deeply disturbing videos of […]

  1. Buzz says:

Finally, an episode right up my alley 😉

See you Sunday (with my stungun)!

  2. Cliff Dix says:

First of all, an hour of Dolly Parton would be wonderful to me! Where do I go to get arrested?
Second, I have been to a nude beach in the Florida keys-Not sexy! Unless naked grandpa sporting a woody excites you. YIKES!
I got my Digitally Delicious shirt yesterday. It looks GREAT!

  3. Gary T says:

The best episodes of COPS are the tazer episodes. FYI, if you don’t want to get tazed, do what the cops tell you to. If you want to get tazed, looks like you need to give Buzz a call 😉

  4. I am not normally one for ‘burying’ words – I love bad taste and bad language – but can we please lose ‘fattie’ from the dictionary? It’s not even one of those cute words that the people it describes use among themselves as far as I know (unlike ‘fag’ and even the ‘n’ word). Every time someone with a sixpack stomach uses it, he should be forced to eat a tub of icecream.

  5. Ventura79 says:

When I was in high school, one of my classmate’s dad was recovering from a stoke, and my classmate would bring his dad’s super potent battery operated shock treatment aparatus, and OMG we used to have sO much fun shocking the hell out of each other! So i wonder if getting shoked like that kid protesting John Kerry, would be fun…anywho…I agree with Steve..LET’S RID OURSELVES OF THE WORD FATTIE!we gotta FLIP THAT SHIT like Miz. Ronnie tought us!

    Funny show, i loved it!

  6. Oh and I forgot – as Chris Crocker got mentioned – he seems like an externalisation of any internalised homophobia I might feel. Do NOT want to be associated with someone that hysterical (not the funny kind) in any way, shape or form. Guys like this are used by bullies all over the world as justification to beat up budding gays in the playground. Vapid drama queen much?

  7. Matt says:

I personally have electrocuted myself several times and most of them were for fun. Mmmmm tingly… But yes I agree with Stevens thought s on the word fattie. I dont appreciate being called it and especially dont like hearing being used by others. I also agree with the punishment for the jocks with the 6pack abs. Now I myself have been overwieght for most of my life, and I have never had a problem with who I am because it is in my mind who I am. But once I came out to all my friends and stuff in college earlier this fall, it made me for the first time in my life really start thinking about my belly that classifies me as a “Fattie” Because in the gay community, especially for the male gay community, overweight gay men are riddiculed, made fun of, and badgered. By our own community of people just like us, except for the few extra pounds. So it pressures us to have to “fit in” with people who we already fit in with. All becaus ethere is the unspoken rule that to be gay you have to be thin. I mean for god sakes it is a fetish to like slightly overweight gaymne. Something is wrong with that, that if we are sp supressed and pressureed to become thin so we can be accepted be our own community that we become a fetish, kind of like an oddity for others to behold. I am sorry but I do not like that. There is just something extreamly wrong with that, and I wont stand for it one bit. So I ask why is it like that? Why is “chub” a fetish in our community? and Why is it an un-written or un-spoken rule that to be gay you HAVE to be thin, and you Have to work out? Thanks that is all I have to say. Sorry if anyone felt like I was bitching, I wasn’t trying to come off as that.

  8. You’re not bitching Matt, you’re just expressing yourself and that’s great.

  9. PupDon says:

For the record, Buzz has the stun gun, I just bite. But I’ve had my shots. 🙂

And I agree about the word Fattie. The rainbow flag is meant to signify the diversity of our community yet there seems to be this unspoken rule saying that we are a diverse group of people unless you are fat or some kind of alternative freak. I’ve never been thin. Thinner than I am today, yes, but never totally thin. I hate going into West Hollywood because I’ve actually had skinny guys in A&F outfits look at my belly, my not-so-fashionable outfit and literally roll their eyes or make a distasteful face. And Logo doesn’t help much. The only time you see guys who aren’t hunky and gorgeous are on shows where they show how hard it is to live life outside the big city or comedians who make fun of the fact that they aren’t what others see as attractive. How about a show about a group of gay men and women who are geeks, live paycheck to paycheck, struggle to make ends meet, and also have a great time. I’m so sick of the media making us all out to be high income fashion designers and interior decorators.

Sorry, I must have caught Matt’s rant fever. 🙂

  10. PupDon says:

Oh, and about that guy who got tazed… the thing nobody is reporting on is the fact that he is known on campus for doing outrageous stunts which are in very poor taste. The day after the last Harry Potter book was released he stood on the side of the road with a big sign giving away the ending. I don’t remember the other things but they were pretty out there. I mean, the guy is a major jerk, so I’m sure the police were wary of him to begin with. I don’t agree he needed to be tazed but he was a troublemaker with a reputation. And running up to rant at a Senator and acting so erratically as he was, I’m sure the police were concerned about drugs, and if he would break so many rules would it be possible he’d have some sort of weapon. Again, I don’t think such drastic measures needed to be taken but I can see why they were on edge around this guy.

  11. by the by, Wendi Jo Sperber died after a long painful battle with cancer, NOT ‘fattie’ related causes…*slightly annoyed*

  12. Cliff Dix says:

I miss Wendi Jo. She was great on Bossom Buddies and anyhting she was on.

  13. Henry says:

How fun! Todays show was what i needed – continuous laughing. Wish i could make it to California… I’ll lend you my tazer..

  14. bowdownza says:

I agree with the campus security detaining that student. I think the risk of an assasination attempt or worse probably outweighed the consequences of a public display of force. It is a shame becuase he had some really valid questions that I would love to hear Kerry be accountable for. Unfortunately no questions seem valid when they are being shouted hysterically and out of time.
Hurrah for marc and Fausto for finally laying down some rules about all the fat jokes/ comments. sometimes it is just that simple.

  15. Matt says:

Oh! I’m sorry. When I was standing on my soap box earlier about the word “Fattie” I forgot to tell you guys. Marc, Fausto yet again today was another great show! Made me laugh tons, only problem was I was in a women’s care doctors office with my mom. So while she was back with the doctor, I was left sitting in a room full of women(most of which were pregnant, and moody) laughing and giggling at your guys show from today and I got these dirty looks and stares. It seemed to me that in their heads they were saying, “Oh what a pervert!” “Shut the hell up, I’m craving pickles and icecream , the last thing I need is to listen to you laugh!” It made everything even funnier which did not help the situation at all. But I got through it. When I left with my mother I could see the relief on all the womens faces, cause they wouldn’t have to hear me giggle and laugh anymore. So thanks for making my day hilarious! Lots of Love! and I hope you can continue to make me and millions more in your audience laugh eveyday for as long as you shall live. Long live the Feast of Fools!!!

  16. Um… to no one in particular: Fattie, fattie, fattie.

Come on people – some people are fat; and obesity is a huge problem in this country that we’re managing to spread to other parts of the world with the export of processed food, McDonald’s, Pesico and others.

Now, there’s no excuse for degrading someone to their face (or behind their back) – but you all sound so touchy-feely. Maybe you all should be in California and I should be somewhere else. If someone is fat they are fat – there’s no use pretending they’re not. No one is being fooled.

On the other hand – I really can’t stand the built out gym bunnies who take off their shirts and call attention to themselves. Look at me preening like a peacock – love me, love, I’m insecure and try to make up for my shortcomings in the gym. You will never find me on an Atlantis cruise for just this reason.

Eliminating the medical conditions and slow thyroids that can cause obesity – let’s face it – America is full of fat people. And whomever was griping on the boards about “thin” people who complain about trying to lose those last ten pounds, etc. Losing weight isn’t easy for anyone without an eating disorder. We all suffer – that’s what makes us human.

  17. Manuel says:

I loved the show today. It had me laughing at work and took my work frustration away quick. I suggest you have Ronn Vigh on more often. I love his attitude. Keep the fattie jokes coming. I use to be fit all threw high school and when i met my husband I plumped up to 250lbs. I have then lost all the weight extra bacon and can tell you from experience that I was always weak and sick when I was big. It totally fucks with your health. I agree with Marc and Fausto.

  18. Matt says:

PupDon, I too agree with the Idea behind the rainbow flag, and that there are minorities within our own community that are not expressed often enough. I personally am just one of those people who does fit the “label’ of a common gay man (by common I mean the type of gay man the media finds acceptable. You know not to straight acting but not to gay acting either). But I would love to see more types of gay people who don’t fit the media’s view of what a gay man or woman are. Like gay nerds and lesbians who are feminine or girly, or any other minority in our community that the media and we even sometimes ignore or don’t idealize. Ok seriously, I promise to rant no more. 🙂

  19. Sorry Raquel but I hate to annoy you more but obesity is an important risk factor for breast cancer. You don’t have to be obese to get breast cancer, but it does contribute to the risk.

  20. miata says:

Fatties and Wetbacks are out of bounds, but Asian Dick size, well that’s just comedy, huh? We all have our sensitivities, generally deep rooted in our personal insecurities and past experiences. I expect that Ronn wasn’t out to be mean, but just got high on his own comedy, and went a step too far. We’ve heard it on shows before, and we’ll hear it again, although I suspect not on this topic. At least Ronn’s commentary was generally more intelligent, articulate and definitely funnier than the bile that spewed from Dave Fried’s mouth last week!

I really enjoyed the light heartedness and laughter of this show, wish I could be in CA for the live show!

  21. Raquel, hate to annoy you some more but obesity is a contributor to the risk factor for breast cancer. I wouldn’t call it a fattie disease though but it obesity does contribute to the risk.

    http://www.free-online-health.com/obesity-illness.htm

  22. Ron does so not look 38. Wow I hope I am as hot as you at 38 Ron. Your funny too!
    love this show!!!

  23. Ronn says:

Thanks. I dont look 38. Because Im not! I am 28. But, dont I look good for 28 too?
I wont comment on anything else because Im sure Ill say one wrong word and start a new firestorm. =)

  24. Anna says:

Both Wendie Jo Sperber and Susan Peretz from “Babes” died of breast cancer. Whether it is a “fattie” disease or not, it’s nothing to laugh about.

  25. THANK YOU Anna, for saying what needed to be said. and as for cancer-causing agents…i think Sweet N Low and diet sodas containing artifical sweetners would kill you a lot faster than a binge at the Old Country Buffet.

    http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art15448.asp
    http://www.lightparty.com/Health/DietCokeAspartame.html

not to mention how dangerous fad diets like the atkins diet can be

    http://www.health101.org/art_Atkins_diet.htm

now do i advocate extreme obesity to the point where the person is on some freak talk show getting a pep talk from Richard Simmons cause they havent moved from the bed in years? of course not!.

..but i believe that a person doesnt have to be a size 0 to be healthy. there are plenty of average size people around who are far from healthy. just assuming that if someone happens to be plus sized means they are by default unhealthy is just an ignorant statement.

should millions of girls feel like shit cause they don’t look like some coked-up glamazon supermodel or ditzy blond heiress? NO! women come in all shapes and sizes, and there is nothing abnormal in that!

  26. Jake says:

I dont care for this guest, I thought he was shallow, and rude. but the hosts were great as always 🙂

  27. I would be the first to call brutality on the cops, but in this case I’d like to reiterate Pup’s comment and further it with http://gainesvillesun.com/article/20070919/NEWS/709190335/1007/NEWS

Sure, police brutality and excessive force is on the rise (it’s a side effect of the suppression of democracy in favour of fascism), but when some idiot decides to come up and pose as someone who gives a crap about politics, then he deserves to get tazed. Maybe if he hadn’t been resisting arrest, as is clearly the case in the video, he wouldn’t have gotten tazed.

It’s stuff like this that pisses me off, If it’s not police fucking with protests ( http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2007/08/23/police-montebello.html ) then you have to deal with civilians ruining it for the rest of us.

  28. Curtis says:

Sorry, obnoxious or not there is no justification for the police reaction. It’s not against the law to be an asshole. He was not acting in a threatening manner. It showed a complete lack of judgment on the part of the campus police. I also don’t think there was much Kerry could have done about it. He tried to address the questions, do you really think he should have jumped off the stage to stop the police? Bush would have joined in the tazering or had him flown to another jurisdiction so he could be tortured.

  29. Just started listening to this episode, but giggling already about Fausto’s experience at Chili’s in Puerto Rico—I had a similar experience in the Chili’s in London. I think the food did take a boat over from the U.S. because it was cold and yucky and way overpriced!
