Happy New Year everybody! On our very first show of the New Year, before we boldly go into 2008 and stop the hate, we look back on 2007 and talk about all the ideas, stories […]

  1. Jonathan says:

Marc you are such a handsome man but you need to shave off that beard. We want to see your pretty face.

  2. RcktMan says:

Hey guys… thanks so much for having me on the show. It was a blast, as always!

A couple clarifications: The Hustle up the Hancock is on February 24, not February 25 (my mistake). And if anyone is interested in donating to my “hustle,” click here to visit my personal donation website.

For posterity, the address is http://my.imisfriendraising.com/personalPage.aspx?registrationID=258558 — which is why I couldn’t rattle it off during the show. 🙂

Finally, a BIG thank you to Amanda Steinstein, Cliff Dix, Barbara Drumm, and Maia Wright for donating! You are all FABULOUS!

  3. MOAR beard. Happy New Year FoF

  4. Barbara says:

Is Rick’s voice really that sexy or does he still have a cold?

  5. bradley says:

hey rick: i was at adam’s party. early on, that is. were you taking photos?

  6. RcktMan says:

Hey Bradley, yup that was me! I have some of them up on Flickr right now: http://flickr.com/photos/rcktmanil/

  7. Happy New Year Marc and Fausto! and Rick!

Wow, I can’t believe you guys didn’t win. I know you said not to do anything about it but, man. It’s so hard not to start a letter writing campaign.. grrr.

So, what was my highlight? It would have to have been the Oscars being hosted by an openly glbt person. That was really moving for me.

  8. Cliff Dix says:

I kind of like Marc’s new scruffy look. Very much like Matthew Fox on LOST. Sexy.
One of the highlights of my 2007 was meeting the FOF gang in Chicago including Rick the Rocketman. Maybe 2008 will bring Glen and I to Chicago again…or ya’ll down to us in Atlanta.

  9. Happy New Years Marc, Fausto, and everyone. I look forward to visiting you all in Chi-town soon. My resolution : to treat myself better, mentally, spiritually, and physically. Starting with a work out routine and moving forward from there. I can’t wait to show off my “new body” when I get into Chi-town. See you all soon!

  10. Maia says:

Happy new year, Fausto and Marc and Rick! Good to hear you back on the air! Wish we could have joined you for new year’s, but I was busy hacking up a lung. That’s the bad side of having bronchitis for over two weeks. The good side: my abs have started to ache every time I cough, so I think I am partway to a six-pack. It’s my easy exercise plan for the new year.

Here’s to a democrat in the White House in 2008… I can’t wait.

  11. Maia says:

p.s. Fausto, you are #1. Without a doubt! You are the winner in our hearts. Put on that tiara!

    two thumbs up:

    d(~_^)b

  12. Jamie says:

I hope the new year brings you happiness, wealth and even more fame! I will be moving to Chicago this year, and thanks to your Podcast, I’m looking for a place in Andersonville.

  13. PupDon says:

OMG, I just got all misty when you played Baby Teeth. Man, that brings back memories. I think one of my all time favorite moments on FOF is when Fausto and V-marr sang it during the blackout.

I hope you guys have a happy, healthy and hilarious 2008!!! And all the FOF fans too. Love you. 🙂

    Love,
    Pup Don

  14. ColJH says:

Haha. A great moment to remember Pup Don. I miss V-Marr. :[

I’m excited to hear the new Breakdown 2008 song. :]

  15. Ventura79 says:

I havent listen to a new show in FOREVA! since, like, LAST YEAR =)

What a great way to start the year, listening to you guys~!

    Much Love!

  16. Rhea says:

The blackout episode was also one of my favourites! I like to think that even when the next apocalypse comes, the boys will keep on podcasting. 🙂

  17. Rhea says:

Marc! I am oddly intrigued by the beard. Please post a pic when it’s fully grown!

Fausto, I am shocked that you came in second. It’s like when Brokeback Mountain lost out to Crash at the Oscars a couple of years ago. Or when the Washington Generals beat the Harlem Globetrotters that one time. Hoo, this really smarts!

I hope you’ll still do interviews with the other bloggers, especially Bryanboy. Glitter seems to come out of every orifice in his body!

  18. RcktMan says:

Pup, I created a “Mini Bite” of the Blackout “Dream”. We should get that loaded onto the site. It seems like a favorite of many people– myself included!

  19. BAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWW… i’m upset Fausto got 2nd place at the Bloggies. he so deserved irst place! x(

but last year had a lot of good things and bad things…but overall it suited me fine. ;ets hope this year is a good one too!

  20. SAL-E says:

GIRL……………………………….I am listening to the show and my New News thing is…..
No to be LATE in 2008………

THe Gay Bloggies was a joke…………..we all know YOU WON!
    Love ya
    -SAL-E

  21. Hey Fausto … congrats on being second. That is nothing to sneeze at. You got a lot of great attention, well deserved. I appreciate how hard you worked … and how hard you all work for our enjoyment and inspiration. Great blast from past to hear Dream but Baby Teeth. That was the first music I heard on FOF, so it sounds like your themesong to me. Nice!

  22. I dont eat anything at all today untill I listen to this podcast…yum 😛

  23. So my thoughts on Oprah is that shes annoying, has to much on her plate and needs to go hide in her house once in a while. I cant stand her.

  24. But you hate all lesbians.

  25. Robbie says:

So I’m really happy y’all are back, but come on, all that vomit-talk?

I had to yank the earphones out of my ears ’cause I almost threw up myself while I was on the treadmill!

Happy New Year, though, and welcome back!

  26. yay starting the new year with yet another great show!

    happy new year guys!

and like sal-e said, the gay bloggies was a joke…we all know you won fausto!

i think we all know whos dick frank sucked to be the winner >_>

  27. I think it is a bit creepy how some people worship Oprah like she is the second coming, but I can’t help but feel she is a genuinely nice person, so if someone is going to set an example, it might as well be her.
And yeh, leather might be used as a shortcut to masculinity, but it doesn’t really work. If you have a very limp wrist and can’t fill that leather out properly, the chasm between who you are and who you are trying to be – a Tom of Finland character – will be obvious and a bit sad. Better to make peace with your femme-level. Mind you, on a guy like Ben Browder from Farscape it looks hot!

    (not my own blog btw)

  28. I so laughed at the Graham Norton comments. No way is he a ‘dirty fister’! He must be the most sexless person on TV. If ever there was a modern day eunuch it would be him! I’m not even sure he’d have genitals – just those moulded pants like action figures have.
Remember, the more you talk about it, the less you do it!
