History was made as Barack Hussein Obama became the 44th President of the United States, sworn to defend the U.S. Constitution which, at one time, defined blacks as three-fifths of a person. As our country’s […]

Hi guys, really enjoyed the show.

Speaking of memorable quotes from Obama’s speech, I’d vote for: “We will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist.” This is a very powerful message against hate, imo.

  2. Superboy says:

Although LGBT people were mostly left out of the day’s activities and coverage, Aretha’s gray hat stole the show, and that was the gayest thing in Washington D.C. that day!

  3. Jos says:

you look so cute with those Aretha Franklin hats…congratulations with your new president and the Best GLBT podcast award 2008!

  4. Hey great show guys Cameron was a blast as usual. Hey Marc, very good with the Coventry knowledge; yes Lady Godiva “allegedly” rode through the streets of Coventry in an effort to persuade her husband to alleviate the harsh taxes on the poor and everyone was supposed to be behind closed doors except Peeping Tom who spied on her. Now there’s an idea who should ride through the street naked to alleviate taxes today???

I think the Aretha video is a spoof, unless she can speak with her mouth shut…

  5. I can’t even look/hear Aretha without thinking of Chinese take-out induced, type II diabetes…or that “one touch” song looping in my head.
Isn’t that calender obscene? Those guys really signed those cards and those cocks are just as menacing in person!
Thanks for the mention guys, so honored it could be on a day with Cameron in tow-she’s the tits!

  6. I for one was confused as Aretha was introduced as singing the National Anthem which I thought was the Star Spangled Banner now not My Country tis of thee which ceased to be the national anthem in 1931??

  7. Michael says:

I liked that line, too, Marcin, and I’m sure, although in an entirely different way, the fisting community should be very pleased with it.

  8. Nidocamen says:

Congrats again on the 2008 award, you guys totally deserve it!!! Great coverage of the inauguration!! Cameron is as funny as ever! You have to post a pic of one of you wearing the panda hat!!

  9. I loved Cameron’s rendition of “Part Of Your World.” Truly inspiring. 🙂

  10. JavierJ says:

Haven’t listened to the show yet, but I followed your link to d-listed and noticed that those commenters are HATERS. I am very old school: you don’t mess with Aretha, even if she did tell that person to shut up. Which really is her right. And I did love the hat. Can’t front. Loved it.

  11. Patricia Fernós says:

I agree, the Aretha Franklin’s ‘shut up’ is a spoof! What is a better spoof is you guys with her fabulous hat on! Maybe you’ll make crazy hats become part of the GLBT regalia! On another note, Jack Kennedy was 43 when he was inaugurated and Obama & Bill Clinton were sworn in at exactly the same age – 47. And many congratulations for your 3 GLBT podcast awards! LOVE YOU!

  12. “SHUT UP!” I saw that live, and I thought she was just clearing her throat, but it really does seem like she told someone to shut up.

Loved Cameron’s singing of ‘Part of Your World’

That review was by ‘dj_jammer506’ not ‘dj_hammer506″, I know that cause IT’S ME! : ]

I was so excited when I heard that. :p

Sardines is like inverted Hide-n-go-seek. One person hides and everyone else goes to look for that person. When a player locates the hidden person he/she joins that person. The last person to find the hiding spot loses.

I agree with Fausto about the importance of Universal Health Care. I think this is one of the reason that American can not compete. It is a big part of why the U.S auto industry can’t make any money. I just had surgery, and I have to give thanks to my employer for providing me with this wonderful benefit.
Dick Cheney was in a wheel chair because he just could not do the “walk of shame”, or was just too drunk to walk out under his own power.

  15. My favourite part of the whole day was when George W was walking down the corridor before appearing on the stage. A TV technician, wearing headphones, was standing and as he passed he shook her hand. As soon as he was gone she quickly wiped her hand on her jeans. It said it all really!

  16. I love when Cameron is on the show! She really is like an old friend, easily relatable and comfy and oh so funny.

  17. Great show! I love Cameron’s voice. She is a hoot. I need a gal pal like that.
That Aretha video is weird. I don’t even see her mouth move when she supposedly says it. I think someone is messing around with quicktime.

  18. Yes, it’s the great gray hat conspiracy.

  19. SHUT UP. THERE IS NO CONSPIRACY. JUST HATS.

  20. I love Cameron! (in a platonic long-distance sort of way)

  21. Teal says:

Hey! I loved the show today. Cameron is my new favorite ‘regular’. She’s so funny. I thoroughly enjoyed her singing of ‘Part of Your World’. My girlfriend is always singing that around the house, so it was nice to hear it that someone else can belt it out.
Congratulations on the new award guys, it is very well deserved-again!

  22. Here’s Cameron in some hot comic action:

  23. Anna says:

I’m behind on listening to FOF (sorry!) and I just got to this episode. Wanted to leave you a note to let you know that I love hearing Cameron on the show (I started grinning as soon as I saw the album cover in iTunes). I hope you have her on as often as you can!
