Love me some Ru! I have to say that the show is really a guilty conscience of mine, and it was really fabulous seeing all the queens trying to make those outfits out of junk.

  2. GusGus says:

Good show you guys. I loved the first episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race. RuPaul looked fierce and the contestants were greast. I can’t wait to see how the season unfolds. In regards to magazines not featuring gay people on their cover photo, I would say that one of the reasons why I like Instinct magazine is because they make it a point to only show gay models on their magazine cover. I think you are right and that gay magazines out there need to do more to show our lifestyle. They should try harder to push the “Get to Know Us” slogan.

You guys are fucking awesome! Getting RuPaul twice! I love that you played that Lady Bunny audio for him. Shit. If you dish it out, you should be able to take it. And he did. I fucking love it. And I love RuPaul’s Drag Race. Can’t wait to see the next show tonight! I am rooting for Tammie Brown just because she is so fantastically fucking freaky!
I really like this cussing thing now that Obama has given us all permission.

  4. I wouldn’t expect anything less from RuPaul- she’s a 5 star queen. Love her.

I’m also rooting for Tammie Brown, but I like Ongina and pretty much all the cast as well.

Cuss away, but make sure to put a quarter in the swear jar for a rainy day!

Fausto has a such a wise way of being frank. His past comments about Rupaul were spot on true and he delivered them in such an honest way.

I am so glad she agreed to return to the show.

    Amazing show.

  6. Rhea says:

RuPaul is a goddess. Love her!!! Thanks for getting her on the show, boys!

  7. Michael says:

Hey boys…..yeah they did show about 3 seconds of a clip from my video, a friend of mine grabbed it and posted it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxHCMLEQ_-I

I’m barely in the upper right hand side of the screen. I didn’t see it because I can’t get CBS on the new DTV. Well the contest did say that your video “could” be on the Grammy’s – but it never said anything about it being visible!

Loved RuPaul – I actualy got a chance to catch her new show last night at a friends house….it was campy and fun, I was sorry to see Porkchop go and then Tammi Brown – I really wanted to see her go all Bette Davis on someone : -(

  8. Fishsauce says:

Fifty one-th. Oh Fausto, you are too cute.

  9. matt says:

They’re called hijras, Marc. But I swear, I think you’re the only other gringo that’s heard of them. I love it when you do that to me. Sometimes I feel like I’m the only smart M-kid, and then you show me that there’s a sisterhood of us.

  10. BASboy says:

    !. Perhaps being in Los Angeles I see more stuff. Or maybe I just see a lot of local stuff, but there are tons of gay rags on most of the street corners in my neck of the woods… West Hollywoods that is. So not sure about not seeing gay people on the covers. I mean, they are gay on Gay Porno Mags… aren’t they? ;-}

But then again I may be part of the majority who don’t read magazines. I do a lot of my reading online or reading Geeky books.

Also, about Ru. Upon hearing the show I went and signed up for Season Pass on Apple TV. Just saw the first show and thought it very funny, though you knew off the bat who was going to be kicked off first, the only old and stocky drag queen in the group? It was a throw-away competition. Why all the soft focus with bright yellow light in the show when Ru is in drag?

I also found it interesting when the Lady Bunny clip was played about Ru’s appearance on Project Runway. Ru gave some odd comment about not having bothered to watch the show and didn’t know what they were talking about. Yet in the previous interview when Ru was asked about the ‘Milton Beryl Incident’ Ru went on about how she didn’t remember much about it. Then she moved on. Seems Ru is avoiding stuff.

My hats off to Ru, she is talented and worked hard for where she is nowadays. She doesn’t have to talk about anything she doesn’t want to, but sidestepping stuff subtly is not one of her talents.

  11. MLo says:

I saw RuPaul’s show after you talked about it and I thought it was fantastic. Way more interesting than other reality shows. The production values just need to be pumped up a bit. It was a lot of fun to watch because it didn’t leave me feeling sad about the contestants or thinking that the judges were mean.

  12. CharlesVer33 says:

Ru certainly has her work cut out for her. I want to see more crazy contestants, meaner judges and total catfights. Is this going in the direction of Project Runway or I Love New York?

  13. DC_GAY_MAN says:

Episode 3 is SO good. The Lip Sync for your life is taking on new and deeper meaning. Sunday morning downloads is Church-y!

  14. How did you see episode three already?

  15. DC_GAY_MAN says:

Bust out the good popcorn and butter for this episode.

I followed your direction and got the itune season pass. Download is available on Sunday mornings. I am looking forward to the “under the hood” section when posted (it is unfortunately not part of the itune season pass –> but should be!).

  16. DC_GAY_MAN says:

It’s on-line around 9 PM EST on Monday. You can see it on logo.

  17. timslim says:

I love Rupaul and I was looking forward after listening your show to watching Drag Race on Logo but I was very disappointed when I was informed that due to copyright laws I was unable to watch it because I live in the UK!! what a let down !!!!
Love the show by the way as always guaranteed to put a smile on my face and bring on a laughing fit , the ultimate “pick me up'”.
