  3. Alfonzo says:

This show was a lot of fun to listen to. Miss Giovani sure does have a quick wit.

  4. Zoe says:

I’m not sure what this day means, I think its only advertising of guidetogay.com…

    • I took that into consideration and I laud them for their efforts. Somebody has to do it and its not like there some sort of Drag Queen committee at the UN!

It’ll go either two ways- we embrace it or reject the idea. I’m not one of those “they don’t speak for the community types” so I’m going to run with it and look forward to some fierce drag shows next year.

If you are still worried that its just an ad for them, well, I just turned it into an ad for us and for you too. It’s all what you do with it.

      Hey,
Just to clarify, it isn’t just to advertise guidetoday.com…..
guidetogay offered to become IDD media partner, and as the partner they were able to have branding on the fan page as well as logo placement on the poster. In return they promoted the day as well as helping put on events in Australia.

I created the day as I felt such a day needed to exist, and I hope you feel this too.

The day was and is what you make it. You in your community can go out and celebrate Drag on that day. Maybe host a party or cabaret event, possibly a drag competition. It’s just a way to recognise and salute Drag Artists in your country and around the world.

Like Mark said, Feast of Fun also got some free advertising via my the International Drag Day fan page…..that’s how life works and how days like IDD start with media support.

I personally am very grateful guidetogay took the initiative to help propel this day forward.

      Cheers

      International Drag Day Founder.
