Here’s a challenge: be a 10 in 2010! Today the handsome Scott Herman from MTV’s Real World Brooklyn shares his secrets on getting into shape.

Scott’s leveraged his appearance on Real World into a popular website and video blog where he shows how to work out and eat right, and he does it without his shirt off! Plus: behind the scenes in Real World, the power of water and why Captain America is for marriage equality.

  1. Yaay my question got asked! Thanks for getting Scott on the show. I really like him, his videos and adding that he’s (I mean Captain America) for Marriage Equality is amazing. The way you all come together with your guests really inspires me and I look forward to seeing (and hearing) more from Scott, Marc and Fausto.

Where are your workout videos boys? 🙂

  2. This title wears me out already! I just worked out… how did you know? But if I can look like Scott I will gladly head right back to the gym. Hell, I would go back just to look like Fausto…

  3. Brent says:

I normally don’t like conventionally attractive guys, but he is so hot.

  4. Grace Alexis says:

Loved the interview with Scott! I really enjoyed Real World Brooklyn and thought that cast was one of the best since the early years of the show. Everyone seemed to have a great personality and they were about actually doing something with their lives instead of just sex, hot tubs and getting drunk all the time. Scott was always one of my favorites. His level-headed attitude set the tone on the show.

I loved what he said about giving the money to Katelynn. I wish there were more good-hearted people like him in the world.

I’ve watched Scott’s videos and I am impressed by his knowledge and his methods of getting the success he gets. I learned a lot from this show. More than I ever expected to learn.

  6. Andy says:

I really enjoyed the show with Scott. Hot guys like him who are not arrogant, superficial but kind, open-minded and down to earth are kinda rare.

  7. So are you guys going to take on Scott’s challenge and go work out? Curious to know if this interviews inspires anyone to go to the gym more often or learn about fitness.

  8. MoocherX says:

I really enjoyed the show – Scott has great enthusiasm and energy. I was thinking of trying his meal plan, but I’ve seen a lot like these that use a lot of brands I can’t necessarily get in the countries I live. Very motivating though!

  9. What a sweet and generous man. I really liked his energy and I am such a fan of the work out videos.

  10. Hi Fausto and Marc, I just listened to your podcast with Scott Herman who is my friend and I work with him on his website, scotthermanfitness.com!

I really enjoyed listening to you all and was so touched that Scott mentioned me and my partner Tom toward the end of the podcast. He is one of the sweetest guy’s I’ve ever known, sincerely, and he always makes you feel like you are the only person in the room when he is engaging in conversation with you. I am so proud of him and we support his goals and are blessed to be in some ways, a part of his mission.

I am the cameraman for most of his videos on the website as well as his You Tube site. We have a blast filming and it is so impressive that most of them are in one take! Scott plans them out and I know him well enough that I just follow his lead and when necessary, I zoom in on the proper muscle groups and follow him through each routine. He was our personal trainer and I have to tell you, I’ve never been in such great shape, ever!!!!!

But thanks to Scott, we are healthy and love going to the gym. The only gym I was ever in before was named Jim! (long before Tom) LOL Anyway I just wanted to introduce myself and tell you I really enjoy your site! Cliff

  11. Tar says:

This guy is a duchbag, he doesn’t know what he’s talking about, I go to the gym everyday doing just cardio and I lost a lot of weight.

    • There are a lot of things you can do to get in shape. It’s been proven through rigorous scientific research that everyone needs and benefits from weight training. My sweet, gray haired mom does it.

Nobody is stopping you from creating your own workout videos and uploading them to YouTube, why throw anonymous insults at Scott? Scott has inspired me and lots of people to be the best they can be, and gives some solid fitness advice. Ask any certified personal trainer.

By the way jealousy is terribly fattening. It really is.

    • Dick says:

      And you do?

    • Hey Tar it is actually spelled “douchebag”

Also… You probably lost some fat, but I guarantee you lost a lot of muscle too. Cardio is not the fat burning answer, it is a tool used to get your heart rate up before you hit the floor to workout.

You burn more calories for up to 36 hours longer when circuit training because you are breaking down muscle and it has to heal.

  12. Philb says:

It is really hard to imagine anyone can have such a great body as Scott Herman, but now that I heard this podcast, and watched his videos, I’m really going to hit it hard in the gym and try to get in the best shape of my life in 2010. Thanks again guys for all the great shows.

  13. AdamEyes says:

OMG I loved watching Scott on Real World and I had no idea he had his own video blog! Thanks guys for turning me on to it. Scott, you are such a sweet, generous guy, and it is really wonderful to see all your videos. Can you suggest a video to cut up if you’re already muscular but have some extra fat? I lift weights 5x a week and was wondering what you’d suggest.
