While kids were busy searching for eggs and candy this Easter weekend, Apple fans eagerly awaited the iPad, the new tablet computer features a larger screen and faster processor than the iPhone, and like the iPhone it doesn’t do phone calls.

Join us as we ponder the future of the almighty iPad with blogger Michael Lehet and discuss the hot news: the Pope’s priest’s outrageous statements, Lourdes and Madonna’s fashion line, the UK’s great rhubarb shortage, Dr. Who hunk stopped at airport and otters in love.

Wow….another show already? My head is spinning from all the excitement. I’m still not excited about the iPad though!

I saw that Curtis Jensen posted on Fausto’s Facebook page about the iPad being a ‘Money Grab’ and I agree, it seems like Apple just pushed this product to market to make money….and they’ll surely get it.

One of the big stock companies announced today that it is estimated Apple stock will jump from $235 share close on Friday to over $300 today just because of the iPad release. Interesting considering a year ago their stock was about $135 a share and they don’t pay any dividends…..what does Apple do with all it’s money?

    • Andy says:

That’s a good question. They don’t pay any dividends and let it produce under horrible working conditions. To produce it in a low wage country like China and then sell the product at a high price and market it like the Mercedes among the gadgets is just wrong.

  2. Andy says:

I love the photos on the iPads. 🙂

But why you want to spend 500$ for the iPad which does not support flash, multitasking, has no usb port, no audio out…Ridiculous! I would rather get a netbook or another cheaper tablet pc.

Has been Easter not always been a Mini-Christmas? With the long weekend (Friday, Sunday and Monday are public holidays here) it has been always kind of a Mini-Christmas here. Everyone get little presents and small Easter basket with chocolate. 🙂
