Why doesnt she have a British Accent?

LOL! What’s funny is I’d probably be asked that if I had a New Zealand accent. A lot of folks have no idea what New Zealanders sound like. Charlie Sheen actually accused his costar Melanie Lynskey of faking her Kiwi accent while out of character on the set of Two And a Half Men. She must’ve really boiled his tiger blood! 😀

    Easter tree in Germany

Fabulous show with Angela, also known now as the egg lady! I absolutely love Easter because then usually we can enjoy in Germany the first warm days after a cold winter and everything is so colourful. The tulips and pansies blossom and everywhere you can see the colourful Easter decoration. At my apartment I always go crazy with the Easter decoration each year.

I did not know before that the tradition with the Easter tree is from Germany. I am so used to it that I never questioned where it is actually from. Some weeks before Easter you can see them here and there in Germany.

I also know in Greece it is an old tradition to put one egg in the grave (box) with the bones every year. In some parts of Greece they first bury the dead and after 6 or 8 years they take them out of the grave before Easter, polish some bones and the skull to put them in a box with an egg. It has been also a tradition in some parts of Greece not only to put an egg in the box with the bones but also to drink wine out of the polished skull before Easter. When I was a child and teenager I traveled with my family to a small Greek island not far from the Greek city called Volos every year. Just about 12 people lived there during winter and during summer many Greek tourists and some German tourists came to the island. There are two small mountains on the island, one with a monastery and a graveyard. We always to had to pass there when we went from the house to the small village on the other side of the island. Three times the Greek children who I played with took me there in the late evening while our parents drunk wine at a tavern. They took out the skulls of the box and played with them together with the flashlight in the dark. The first time I was so scared but then it was actually fun to scare tourists with the skulls and a flashlight who passed the monastery and graveyard when they went back, often a bit drunk, from the village to their houses. Then we put the skulls back in the boxes carefully so we did not break the eggs inside the boxes.

I always thought Faberge eggs were real eggs as well. Womp.
