Holy homoerotic undertones Batman! Gay folks sure love comic book superheroes.

We all can identify with characters who aren’t like “normal” people and have to hide their secret identities or maybe it’s just their perfect bodies in colorful tight spandex?

Today supergeek Brian Sweeney talks about fabulous real gay moments in comic book history.

  1. Bryce says:

I was going to ask where the Invisible Woman was … but then I realized she was invisible.

  2. Alan says:

Speaking of fabulous gay moments in comic book history, let’s not forget about Marvel’s “X-Treme X-Men” featuring a gay Hercules and Wolverine. Now -that’s- a superhero movie I’d like to see on theaters! Is Hugh Jackman under contract?

And does anybody know who Howlett is? Because apparently he’s gay too and also in a (polyamorous?) relationship with Hercules.

  3. Brian Sweeney says:

“Howlett” is James “Logan” Howlett, which is Wolverine’s real name.

And in an alternate universe, he and Hercules are in a gay, polyamorous.

Oh that makes sense, I was wondering why this Howlett dude showed up when I searched for Wolverine. I am a little disappointed though, part of me was hoping Hercules was messing around with two different guys, and one day we’d get to see a fierce gay superhero queen-out over Hercules. I don’t know, something like this:

Howlett [to Wolverine]: “Gurl, I fucked ur man!”
Wolverine: “Oh hell nah, Professor, hold mah weave! Imma cut this bitch!”
    Howlett: “Why u cryin’, this Marvel’s “X-Treme X-Men” not Marvel’s “X-Treme Best Friend Men!”
Wolverine: “Oooh! I’ve officially HAD IT with -you- little boy!”
Howlett: “It’s not personal, It’s love.”
Wolverrine: “Bitch, get a grip, get a life, and get over it!”

[They begin to wrestle on a muddy field]

But if Howlett and Wolverine are really just one person, I guess that’s not an option. Especially if Hercules and JLH a.k.a Wolverine agreed to allow each other to have some fun on the side.
