When pursuing our hopes and dreams, it helps to get rid of your #1 enemy: you. Too often our own egos and insecurities get in the way of us becoming the fierce people we were meant to be.

Today Brian Sweeney joins us to take a look at ways we sabotage ourselves, and why Facebook friending system is broken. Why are we “friends” with thousands of people we don’t care about?

Loved today’s show Google Hangouts would be a wonderful way of communicating live with your audience if you aren’t going to do live events that is. Brian was right about the over all impact of Drag Race, it attracts a small but loyal audience that has little impact on the world outside of gay blogs and the shallow people that read them. Jinx Monsoon could not carry a Broadway show it would be fair to jinx or the dignified hardworking actors that make up legitimate theater. Don’t get pulled into the New-Now-Next hype the room that THE VAUDEVILLIANS is playing in only seats 80 people. If you put chairs in Berlin in Chicago you would be closer to Broadway. Its just off off Broadway, I hate to say it but Alaska got a better deal when she lost Rupauls Drag Race she will have a longer and more successful career. Keep up the good work you are what OPRAH was in 1979 almost 10 years in and almost ready to make it big.

I agree with Brian Sweeney 100% about the coverage of Cory Monteith’s death on Glee. My husband and I only watched the first season and turned the episode on completely by chance. We tuned in a few minutes late and just assumed that they had already or would soon talk about the cause of death. Nope. They could have had the important conversation in such a way that it helped kids watching understand that if they get in over their heads, they can reach out to an expert for help. At least provide a helpline or Web site. Instead, they ignored it entirely. I’m particularly sensitive about this because my younger brother killed himself but nobody would talk about it. Everyone was worried about the stigma suicide carries. They should have instead been thinking about how addressing it could help others struggling with suicidal thoughts seek help. They could have used it as a force for comfort and help. This episode failed at that. #RememberingCory

  4. not sure if this is the podcast your talked about fukuppy or the one before. Immense eye roll.

The Chinese character fuku (foo-koo) means luck (or wealth, prosperity, fortune in poetic meaning), ppy is making it sound cute like a puppy. I don’t see the problem. This product and mascot aren’t being marketed to anyone in an English speaking country. If it were I would understand the reaction as it would definiteily be a major fuku uppy (har-d-har-har). The controversy in Japan is that the company shares the Chinese character fuku with Fukushima Daiichi power plant, and we all know what happened there.
