Folks are still shocked with the sad news that Prince died yesterday at his Paisley Park residence and recording studio complex, he was 57.

Today, we take a look at the extraordinary life of Prince Nelson Rogers, his genius, his intense religious faith that may have kept him from seeking proper medical care, and his habit of creating music, films and videos that nobody ever saw.

Just a quick correction: Michael Jackson and Prince were born in the same year (1958). Michael died at age 50 and Prince 57.

Whom we should be worried for is Madonna, who was also born in 1958!

The flu kills. We think of it as something you, as a healthy person, just go to bed and eat chicken soup and your immune system defeats it. However, every year tens of thousands of people, mostly the very young, the very old, or the immune-compromised die from complications with influenza. Even healthy people are vulnerable to the flu. There are multiple strains. The H1N1 strain, which saw a resurgence late this flu season, hospitalizes young, healthy people at twice the rate of H3N2. Influenza is the eighth out of the top ten causes of mortality. That’s why flu vaccines are so important. If enough people are vaccinated, we can create herd immunity for those who are most vulnerable. It’s very problematic when you have so many people whom for religious or other woo woo reasons don’t take appropriate precautions or seek appropriate treatment.

I’ve been off alcohol for two years. Even a half-glass will give me a headache for days. I just sneak a sip of my husband’s whiskey when he orders a Manhattan. I’m happy you fellas are taking a healthy step. It’s sad that so much of the gay social life is dominated by poisoning our bodies.

I would love to see you fellas in LA, but I’m not paying $50 for Ru Paul’s any-goddamn-thing. I hope you have fun, though.

Never forget that the spanish flu (1918 flu pandemic (January 1918 – December 1920)) killed 50,000,000

DragCon not sending you free tickets is unacceptable. Oh Ru, you capitalist fascist monster.

    • We got in through other channels, but so far haven’t heard back about the finale taping. My guess is there’s a big demand for people to buy tickets, so they aren’t giving many freebies out these days.
