  1. Wow. That is brilliant. I’ve always heard of “Applause” but never knew it was an adaptation
of “All About Eve.” That is probably the most well-lit gay bar I have ever seen. My favorite
part though is at :39 when the bottoms present themselves. You don’t see that choreography everyday.

Oh my GOD I don’t believe this! CGMC just got the music for this very song for our next show! Talk about the forces working together! Thank you for posting this… I’m going to be directing a slew of chorus boys to this right now! 🙂

  3. Rckt, who will be your Lauren Bacall?!

  4. Wow this is not too clandestine at all! at :39 seconds left, as Marc says, wow, too wild! go for it!

and Fausto, you are more than right….

    G
    AY S
    POWE
    R

is as Clear as you can get and still have some “cleverness”… but after seeing the guys and all the antics, there is NO “almost” about what is “spelled” out! pretty funny!! woohoo

ps, that IS a well lit place Marc (such was that era of shows), but lights are so easy to dim (hehe), imagine being there if the lights suddenly dropped to 10%, hot, and with the room full of those guys?… yikes, the pool table would not be used for pool…… tho I suppose there would still be plenty of balls in play.

John, it’s going to be a full choral number… but we do the whole song. It’s just too groovy to believe!

  6. RcktMan, that is going to be bazurk! Does this mean you know all of that chorus’s lyrics in this song? I can only make out a tiny bit “She’s here and…” “It’s just too groovy to believe!” Tell us the rest!

  7. RcktMan says:

Yeah… they’re changed a bit (to “We’re here” vs. “She’s here”), but this is that section:

“She’s here, my dear, can you believe it?
She’s here, Oh God, I can’t believe it!
She’s here, it’s just too groovy to believe! Whoo!!!”

    Talk about 60s fabulousness.

  8. RcktMan says:

OH by the way… we even do the “Chicky chicky ow! OW OW OW!’s” 😉
