Where is this Lynda Carter thing from? It sounds VERY 80s. I didn’t know she could sing…. or is that really her singing?

And are those GUYS in the lame’ outfits? Oh my my MY!

    Still, she is fabulous!

re: Puttin’ on the Ritz: or should I say, Puttin’ on the Ritssssssssssssssssss… First of all, I tap danced to an instrumental version of this song when I was a kid. And people were surprised when I came out as gay. 🙂

I remember when this was released. I didn’t know gay from straight or anything else (aside from knowing I knew I liked boys better than girls.) But Taco was the gayest thing around, for sure. And those blackface girls… yikes! I don’t remember that. I’m surprised they got away with that. But then, this is pre-PC.

  2. RcktMan: youtube calls the Taco clip the “uncensored version,” which it says was censored until now!

  3. RcktMan says:

I just saw the ‘censored’ version and I now see why I didn’t recognize the blackface bits. They superimposed a photo of Gary Cooper over the video whenever they got to the “Super Duper” part, and did some other creative editing to cover the blackfaced performers in other scenes. Interesting… thanks for sharing this!

  4. Lynda Carter can actually sing. This is from her “Body and Soul” special, one of several in which she showcased her singing and dancing talents–not to mention tried to establish that she was much more than just Diana Prince/Wonder Woman.
