I’m going to see it tomorrow with friends. Several people I know have already seen it; one friend who is gay and writes extensively about the series felt there was a judgmental tone to the way young Dumbledore and Grindelwald’s relationship was portrayed, while others thought the subtext was barely there. Thoughts on that?
I thought the subtext was barely there in it. I think there are like three shots of Dumbledore in the whole movie. Let me know after you see it though.
I waited any gay subtext and it wasn’t there at all. Not even a hint.
But, I’ll bet you $5 it will be in the last film. It’ll be super homoerotic.
