      not really, marc. it’s only a fullblown “industry” in one town near manila… besides, most of her shoes are imported signature brands, i think. i don’t begrudge her her shoe collection though, i’m no first lady but i have an obscene collection of footwear myself! it’s a filipino thing… on a different note, being a huge 10,000 maniacs fan, i came in my pants a little when i found out natalie merchant sang a song in the album! beautiful song about a not-so-beautiful subject though… proclamation 1081 being the one that put the whole philippines under martial law… ;(
