      I’m confused . . . When you post something on a site like this (a site that Google is bound to hit frequently for search results) about a potential Google bomb then Google goes and checks into it and readjusts what they display?

      • I do believe so, yes. Exactly as you said.

        When you post something on a site like Feast of Fun which is updated regularly, Google will recognize a Google bomb then will readjust its search results.

    It’s not just how frequently your site is updated, though, but how influential it is considered to be on the topic by other sites (shown by them linking to you). And the more influential the site, the mosre influential their link to you is, the more it’s likely to change Google rankings and results. But these days, Twitter has a faster impact on those results than websites do–faster, but not more lasting.

    Still, it’s unlikely that any single post by you–or anyone else–on this topic will have had an effect on the results. In this instance in particular, it’s probably tens of thousands of tweets.
