The recent tragic death of Tyler Clementi, an 18 year-old Rutger’s University Freshman whose sexual tryst was broadcast across the Internet leading to his subsequent suicidal jump off the George Washington Bridge, has gay activists and advocates screaming for a call to action.

I hate always taking on a pessimistic view, but I don’t think things are going to change for the better anytime soon, I don’t think it matters to these schools how many of their GLBT students kill themselves over bullying, and as you said, any action they do try to take, never works out in the end. I think its gonna have to take a big bill that would apply to schools in the whole nation to make any change, but wasn’t that what the Matthew Shepherd Law was supposed to do? It didn’t help save Tyler’s life.

I don’t think there is any easy solution to would take a lot of work to make big changes in these schools, changes that I’m sure would be little or no interest to them.

yeah, most negative response ever.. u_u
