Mimi is not only keeping busy but this totally and surprisingly legit. Let’s face it, most stuff that drag queens get involved in, even dear RuPaul is usually this side of being in the “novelty song” category, this however is a completely legitimate pop song, with enormous mainstream potential. I hope that Xelle is given the airtime this song deserves. With MTV (sister to LOGO) give it airplay, or relegate it to the LOGO Gay Ghetto?

  2. I feel the same way Curtis. When I first heard it in back in January I knew it would be a hit. MTV has already played the song and I’m sure it’ll be, at least, a gay club hit but I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets very popular with the youngsters who buy music or gets played heavily on CW shows like Gossip Girls.

Mimi describes herself as a “the hardest working drag queen” and you better believe it. People often ask me what she’s really like, even after they’ve listened to the two shows we have taped with her, which are pretty revealing, and I say she’s unstoppable, get behind her or get out of her way.

I’m really disappointed though that she didn’t pick up one of the singers and carry her away in this video 🙂
