The Chicagoist described the flash mob that formed by the Darren Criss street team as the “World’s Saddest Flash Mob.” And Darren’s fans are none too pleased. How sad does the flash mob seem to […]

  1. Curtis says:

Well it does eem that they gathered every sad overweight potential fag hag in Chicago for it, and despite a month of rehearsal time still couldn’t pull together rudimentary synchronization. BUT the had fun, why poke sticks at people who are doing something out of their love for Darren Criss and whose motives seem to be just to have fun.

  2. Zan says:

Wow, Curtis. I hope that complete 180 turn in your comment was intentional humor.

I’m not a Darren Criss fan, or a GLEE fan, but I don’t think it’s funny to make fun of people who put in an effort, and these people obviously did.

  3. Andy says:

Did Weight Watchers just discover flash mobs as some kind of new therapy?

  4. Steve2011 says:

It’s NOT “Where the Boys Are”!

  5. Well…I’m an overweight white girl. I agree that this flash mob was pretty sad. But it doesn’t have anything with the way they look. It looks like it was just poorly executed.

Maybe they put in a lot of effort, but for what? Making a scene just to show a star how much of a fan you are is lame. That’s what makes it sad.

    • I’m all for big girls expressing themselves, but it feels like their attempt is coming across as half-hearted, and more like the TV show’s marketing team trying to get Darren’s appearance to go “viral.” They seem like they are just hired people to do this, not really all that into it.

If I had been hired to do a dance for Lady Gaga, you know I’d be shaking my big butt!

  6. Caitlin says:

I find most of these comments to be offensive. These fans came together to have fun and they only rehearsed together as a group a few times. The choreography was learned mostly online. That is still no reason to comment on their weight and physical appearance. That’s pretty shameless and deplorable if you ask me.

  7. Barrett says:

“Glee fans sure are a type.” HA! *ugly laughter*

  8. Cole says:

I knew there was a good reason that I’m not a fan of Glee. I watched the Madonna AND Britney episodes hoping that they would change my perspective. If Madge and Brit couldn’t do it for me nothing can. This video reinforces what I already thought. Glee is L-A-M-E!
