So glad we finally have a Pittsburgh queen on Drag Race and that she happens to be fabulous!

  2. Mr. GuyTVBlog.com says:

Wait A Ho Minute? I have to be a paying member to listen to Sharon’s words? Damn me.

  3. JustinCase says:

Sharon Needles is the bestest most fanstastical queen ive seen on DragRace.. maybe cos she’s Satans lil helper! xo Bitches

  4. 300fromRyan says:

You are full of wisdom, Sharon Needles. Especially with how your past experiences have shaped who you’ve become today. Stand above the rest, gurl, and continue to be yourself.

  5. strigiform says:

I have to pay 9 dollars a month to hear this interview? Sorry I contributed to it.

PS with a website this slow (that even I on a fast connection can barely navigate half of the time), asking people for 9 bucks a month is ridiculous.

    • Marc Felion says:

Sorry, this interview with Sharon Needles is exclusive to Feast of Fun subscribers. Just like magazines depend on subscriptions to survive, we rely on listener support.

One of my favorite RuPaul gems: “My mother said if you don’t depend on someone to pay your bills, then pay them no never-mind.” Can I get an amen up in here?

It’s too bad too, I think you may have been surprised by her answer to your question, which was a good question too!

      • strigiform says:

I am sure I would have, but now I will not get to hear it. And every magazine I read online would give an interview like this for free. At least I know now not to waste my time on this site. Especially when you’ll be making money from reader contributions then making the posts pay-only. Pretty shady.

  6. Marc Felion says:

FYI- we ask the listeners for questions for a few reasons just like other talk shows do-
1- They ask really good questions sometimes.
2- To involve them in the process since we are a community.
3- To build awareness of the show.

I scored number 3 with you so I’m happy you are now aware of us.

Here’s some free shows you may enjoy-

And if you are poor, in-need, you can always apply for a Feast of Fun scholarship by emailing us mail at feast of fun dot com. Fair warning though- we don’t give scholarships to bitches.

    • strigiform says:

So, you ask people for questions so you can make money from interviews. You don’t share the interviews with people who help you make money. You call it a “community” as you profit from the community’s input while not giving in return, and then you call people in the “community” who criticize that “bitches.” Cool story, bro. Hope that works out for ya in the future. Bye bye now.

      • charlesver33 says:

So when you call in to a radio program, you demand access to the archives of the show? You’re nuts. When you write a letter to a newspaper do you call them up if they print it and demand a free copy?

As a friend and supporter of Feast of Fun, Fausto and Marc do this at a loss and have to charge money for the show because guess what? Shit costs money: microphones, computers, internet hosting, and this website. I personally donate whatever I can because I enjoy the shows, and I think $9 bucks a month is a giveaway.

They don’t go to where you work and tell the Johns that a $5 dollar blow-job is too much.

Nobody asked you for your opinion, you came on your own free will and volunteered. The only reason you’re here anyways is because you hate Sharon and are trying to make this awesome show pay for your issues.

      • cassiofm says:

I don’t get how you help people to make money with your questions. Maybe you should sell your questions on the internet and become rich…

      • Marc Felion says:

I didn’t necessarily call you a bitch, I just said bitches don’t get scholarships.

Are you a bitch? Well, that’s an interesting question- my inclination is that yes, you are bitch. Let me tell you why- You come here not knowing what we are about or who we are, the struggle we’ve endured just to make this show happen, and the loyal support we’ve received from listeners. You also make grand pronouncements about what is acceptable behavior for a website while demanding that I work for free for your entertainment.

Now, that doesn’t necessarily mean you are a bitch in real life, perhaps you are just ignorant like a tourist in a foreign land that doesn’t understand the local customs and thinks their way is the only way to go through life.

I guess too you’d be surprised by the requests we get that are really bitchy.
The scholarships are for people in need, not for people that just dont feel like supporting.

  7. A very interesting character Sharon is! Enjoyed listening to what she had to say!

  8. Thank you for the in-depth look at Sharon Needles! This episode was worth every penny of my subscription!

  9. jaspersfbay says:

Loved the interview! Fantastic show, well worth my subscription!

  10. cassiofm says:

Great show! She is even nicer than I thought! I hope she wins!!

  11. Strigiform says:

Woah, I came back to apologize for getting heated and the insults are a flying…

I want to say I am sorry for flipping a little bit here about not being able to see this. There are really intense conversations going on in our city about this stuff and I was really eager to hear the answers to my questions I took the time to form and was really upset when I realized I could not afford to hear them. While I do think those who contribute should be able to hear the answers, my anger about everything leading up to my questions should not have been taken out on you, for that I apologize.

To charles, I don’t hate Sharon. I want to know why she has done some of the things she has done, and now I am still on a damned quest to find that shit out. Frustrating.

@Marc, don’t call women bitches if you want them to subscribe to your website. While I am sorry for reacting initially the way I did, I still don’t appreciate your name calling and shit. I am on an income of 8000 per year right now. I would love to throw food money at your site to listen to the answer to one question but I simply ain’t that rich.

    • Marc Felion says:

Thanks. I do appreciate your apology-

This is the question we asked -
Sharon, in your home town (and mine) you have used shocking and what many say is racially insensitive imagery in your performances such as swastikas paired with mickey mouse ears, confederate flags, and use of the word “nigger.” What is the message you are trying to convey using these images and words?

      Her answer is basically-
To confront issue like racism you can’t hide from it, you have to expose it.

      • Carella Ross says:

sooner or later people are going to have to accept that the cyber free ride NEEDS to be over for the simple fact that that is the best filter for quality control. what does anyone think “you get what you (don’t) pay for means ???” beyond the fact of the sheer arrogance of that sense of entitlement that most frankly do not deserve in the slightest because they bring little to nothing to the table (except of course that unresearched drivel they like to shovel as comments)

      • Strigiform says:

        umad carella?

  12. Mike Elmore says:

I have listened to many of the freely available shows, only because I cannot afford to pay a recurring subscription fee of 9.00 a month. But I do understand the reason behind the subscription. I have been doing live internet radio for 13 years and we don’t charge for access to our programming, but each year our listeners donate during a 32 hour labor day marathon of live shows.
But May I suggest an itunes model. I can’t afford the monthly recurring subscription, but for a show I REALLY want to hear, would be more than willing to pay .99 for that particular episode. Give us an Al A Carte option to pay for the episodes we want to hear.
    {strigiform – see what I did there, complained about what I don’t like, but offered a possible solution as well}
