With her fabulous music through the years, her Bob Mackie see-through gowns and her unconditional support of her trans son Chaz, you can’t help but adore Cher and her wacky, wacky ways.

What is up with that crazy, giant, black wig Cher?

  2. Marques Alan says:

Your show was very funny today and a bit erotic. My ears perked up when you started talking about choking out guys. Marc, please choke me out right when I am about to shoot!

  3. BASboy says:

Yes… I always enjoy the shows with just you two talking. (I enjoy the guest ones as well…but your chemistry is fun). I don’t mind if you tell people I am a masseur. Also I wasn’t really bothered when you refered to me as a bear chaser as it gave my husband an excuse to eat badly and not exercise. I posted that comment with a ;-) to show it was funny to me and my husbear.

The cold shower part is 10 minutes in the morning with cold water hitting the back of my neck and my upper back where the brown fat which effects your body temperature most is located and effects the amount of fat you hold onto. You can also do it with a large cold pack for 20 minutes while you kick back on the couch watching TV. That is 70% as effective as a cold shower. Do the shower within the first 30 minutes of waking up (this also causes your testosterone to increase by doing it so early) and closer to bedtime for the cold pack.

Fausto, when you were talking about your low carb diet, you said that you must return to carbs after two low carb days to avoid muscle catabolism, but this is simply not true.

After muscle glycogen, and more importantly liver glycogen, are depleted on an low carb diet, the body starts to make ketone bodies out of fatty acids. This process is called ketosis.

The liver uses fatty acids to make ketones such as acetoacetate and beta-hydroxybutyrate. These ketones can be used by any organ, but most importantly, they can be used by the brain
(which can’t use fatty acids) in place of glucose.

75% of the brain’s energy can be derived from ketone bodies. The remainder will still have to come from glucose, but that doesn’t mean you necessarily have to eat glucose. Glycerol, the backbone of fatty acid chains can be made into glucose, and amino acids that you eat can be used to make glucose from gluconeogenesis.

A low carb diet isn’t high protein though; it’s a high fat diet. Your body is changing it’s preferred fuel source from glucose to fat (which is what you want if you want to remove excess fat mass), so if you are on a low carb diet, you should eat accordingly. Eat the bacon, eat the yolks, etc. Ketosis really suppresses your appetite though; when you drop insulin by avoiding carbs, it’s like opening the pantry door to your fat stores.

Ketosis is your body’s may of sparing muscle during periods of caloric restriction. You will not lose muscle mass on a low carb diet if you are eating enough fat and protein. if you don’t believe me, think of how humans used to eat. Our species is at least 200,000 years old. We started agriculture 10,000 years ago. I doubt they were emaciated and weak.

    Sorry for the book.
