      If it’s in the Daily Mail, best to take it with a heart-stoppingly large grain of salt, yeah. It’s probably just a matter of cold weather, less prey, and starving wolves banding together for survival. I’ve also heard that all our ideas about alpha wolves and pack mentality are based on observing captive animals, which is like judging all human behavior based on prison populations.

      400??? that is very hard to believe…I think that news story is false… 400 wolves traveling in ONE pack? I have great doubts about that.
