With the exception of songs like Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” or Diana Ross’ “I’m Coming Out,” very few pop songs written as a tribute to LGBT folks have ever reached the top of the charts. But that doesn’t mean the songs that weren’t so gay to begin with couldn’t end up being a huge part of LBGT history.
