Mark lives in Worcester UK with his partner of 26 years Robin, Mark runs a B&B and Robin is a professional musician and teacher of piano and organ. They met through their main hobby – bell ringing, and before you say it, yes campanology. They both sing with the Cathedral Chamber Choir and Robin is organist at a church 20 miles away where Mark also sings.

Yes indeed we’re back to “two nations separated by a common language”. Proms in the US sense are starting to gain ground over here now, our local paper is full of pictures from the various school proms in the area and the stretch limos and other odd forms of transport used to get to them (students in formal dress arriving on a fire engine is an interesting sight!).
I know the BBC has recorded the Dr Who prom for TV transmission at some point, it may appear on the iPlayer
