Nobody was more surprised than Levi Kreis when he won the 2010 Tony Award for Featured Actor in a Muscial for his explosive portrayal of the legendary rock and roll pianist Jerry Lee Lewis in Million Dollar Quartet.
Listen as Levi Kreis joins us with his very own boyfriend Jason Antone and Eric Himan for a live music session you don’t want to miss.

I didn’t have the chance to listen until this morning but I’m so glad I did. I just love Levi 😀 Very FUN show!
Great show! Great to have Levi and Tony. Also, Eric and Jason…great talent. You guys just have the best guests and podcasts.
JP
Thank you! I feel the same about them.
Wonderful show. Amazing guests, and stories. It is always astonishing how well-produced this podcast is, considering this is the one from the “home studio,” and others allegedly involve “professionals.” I wish the podcast were in stereo, but obviously that would greatly increase costs.
Quibbles.
When it is 5am or 6am here in Los Angeles, it s 7am or 8am in Chicago.
Dia de los Meurtos occurs on November 2nd, not November 1st. It is based on the Catholic liturgical day called “All Souls’ Day,” a traditional “pray for the dead” event, which occurs on November 2nd. November 1st is “All Saints’ Day,” in which Catholics commemorate “saints” in heaven. All Saints Day was also known as All Hallows’ Day, and the day before, as All Hallows’ Eve, or All Hallows’ Ee’n, … you get the picture. See the wikipedia entry for the day of the dead for more details than you need.
Finally, how long are we all going to knock the “It Gets Better Project” because it is not all things to all people? Dan Savage had a simple message, directed to gay youth or teens who were especially depressed because of the situation they were dealing with, and the despair they felt because there seemed no answer to it. Savage’s campaign was to get the message out that bad as it might seem, things will change…and they have changed for people in their position in the past. Will it reach every young gay everywhere? Of course not. Does the Trevor Project reach all gay youths contemplating suicide? Obviously not. Throw out the Trevor Project? Throw out “It Gets Better”? To use the cliche, don’t let the pursuit of the perfect be the enemy of the good.
A brief message saying “Don’t Commit Suicide!” as a humorous response? Oh, yes, what wit.
You’re right Mike! Dia de los Muertos is on Nov. 2. Everyone is WAY too hung over on Nov. 1 to have anything happen!
I don’t think anyone is trying to “knock” the “It Gets Better Project.” I think the message here trying to be said is that making a video is just the start, and as people who have spent a lifetime working on LGBT Youth causes, it’s both exciting to see this bandwagon effect and frustrating that it may wind up just that- a bandwagon and nothing more.
Did anyone say to throw out the “It Gets Better” project? I didn’t hear that.
The humor in “Don’t Commit Suicide” comes from the awkwardness of some of the videos like Amanda Lepore’s, not the message of support to gay youth.
I’m sure you’ve heard on this show how we’ve talked in depth, for years about this, and have endlessly sang the praises for the Trevor Project, Out Youth Austin, and many LGBT youth organizations that work their butts off so it does get better. Hope you acknowledge that too!
Man – this was one episode that could have gone on for a couple hours. But I know those guys were racing through town. Thanks for corraling them into the studio guys!
