I grew up reading the Archie comics. I’m 29 years old and I am pleased to see that Archie and blonde Betty and bitchy Veronica and goofy Jughead and closet case Reggie are still relevant. Having openly gay characters in a series that is deemed to be very wholesome by most people’s standards is very progressive. I enjoyed Dan Parent. He is very knowledgeable on the topic and he’s not bad on the eyes either. I love episodes like these. It appeals to my inner geek. Once again another great episode by Uncle Fausto and Uncle Marc! Love you guys. XOXO.
Love you back Bryce! I grew up reading Archie comics too, and part of my fascination as a little gay Puerto Rican boy was thinking that there were happy little towns in America where everyone got along despite their differences. Obviously it was a BIT of a fantasy, but it gave me a lot of hope when I was a kid, and was a great escape.
In some ways it does make me sad they killed Archie, even if it’s a “virtual” death. Iconic comic book characters can never die, just develop alternative story lines.
OMG! Your Reese Rideout voice. LMAO!
I have been loving Afterlife With Archie- Riverdale High’s cheerleaders are in a secret lesbian relationship, Cheryl Blossom is in love with her brother, and Kevin Keller is Katniss-ing every zombie they see with his bow and arrow.
Jughead is the head zombie- his insatiable appetite has been translated to BRAINS.
