A mother is anyone who channels feminine energy to nurture people and love them unconditionally. For many LGBTQ+ folks, we’ve had to seek out that energy when we didn’t get enough from our own mothers. Sometimes we found it in an auntie, a friend or mentor, but oftentimes, it was the divas in showbiz that raised us.

Today Alexandra Gray joins us to reflect on all the great mommies who loved us, from Diana Ross who taught us to stop in the name of love to Madonna who told us to justify our love.
