  1. I noticed how Sheehan conveniently glossed over the fact that these were 400 Dutch peace-keeping troops who had neither the training or the manpower to repel the Serbs. It’s would be like turning around and blaming the firefighters for allowing the World Trade Center collapse. This just goes to show you the lengths that some people will go through to prevent the DADT overturn from happening.

    I was really shocked when I heard of this nonsense. Being Dutch I remember what great influence this tragic history had on our people and our army. I think this ‘testimony’ is not only a insult to gay people, but also to the army men and natives of Sebrenica.

    I’m very tired of people using our so-called libertine stance on gays, gay marriage, abortion, drugs and euthanasia as an excuse and comparing The Netherlands with a modern-day Sodom or Gomorra. If they only took some interest in our laws, they would notice how strict they are and which result they have.

    Sorry, I’m ranting…….

      I can understand you as I grew up near the Dutch border and often visited Enschede or Amsterdam. Many laws are actually much stricter compared to other European countries. As a German I especially dislike the speed limit on the Autobahn. 😉

      Don’t take it too serious what others who do not know much about your country have to say.
