Look at this photo I found! Carole Cook with Elvira (Cassandra Peterson) and Lypsinka (John Epperson) oooooh.
Hi Ms. Cook, I’ve always enjoyed your work and especially liked your performance in 42nd St. I also just finished the “Desilu” book and found your comments to be very enjoyable. I was watching a Lucy clip the other day and noticed your voice coming out of Lucy, and of course, your voice is very distinctive, it was obviously not Lucy. To most of the audience that knew your work it was easy to figure out it was you. Did you dub Lucy’s singing voice often?
Also, how long did you perform in “Hello, Dolly?” Did you ever record a cast album and did you receive any advice from Ms. Channing on approaching the role?
Also, one more question. When Vivian married John Dodds, was it common knowledge that he was gay? I met Dodd’s lover (of course, they met after Vivian passed away) a number of years ago, they were together until John died and he said John and Vivian had a very loving, if unconventional marriage. Did Vivian ever discuss that with her friends?
You were on several episodes of Dynasty. What was harder to do, dodge cat fights between Joan Collins and Linda Evans, or trying to walk through doorways with Nolan Millers shoulder padded gowns?
You were on MacMillan and Wife in the 1970’s. Rock Hudson, the male lead was publicly “straight”, though privately Gay and throwing infamous boy parties at the time. Were you and other people in Hollywood aware of his being Gay or did you only learn once his AIDS diagnosis was made public?
You were in “The Incredible Mr Limpet” with Don Knotts in the 60’s. Did Don ever hit on you on the set ? If he didn’t did you have any other show-mances with costars or directors of any of your projects.?
What motivated and inspired you in your 20’s that still motivates and inspires you now? Also–what is the best way to maintain (or GAIN) your health and wealth for your later years….marry it? Love it? Buy it? lift it? How do we keep passion ALIVE?
Best to you from Don, Tim and Max in Vegas.
Oh, I luv her! Even when she cameo’s, she’s a star… Back in 2006, she guested on Grey’s Anatomy primarily opposite T.R. Knight. This was all before the scandal broke between he & Isiah Washington, you know. I’m curious if Carole notice any on-set tension then?? And either way, what was her reaction to the scandal?
FYI, My favorite quote of hers from the show: “Come on, Dr. O’Malle, show me the swagger!”

…didn’t mean to double post; the site said unknown error!
How much do you love Michael and Tia Kearns?
Working with Lucille Ball, what kind of road do you feel she paved for female comedians today, and what legacy in your opinion has she left behind.
Thanks everybody! She was wonderful.
