Know what a vegansexual is? It’s someone who shuns having sex with meat-eaters because they are repulsed by their bodies being made up of animal flesh. Delicious animals, that is. Annie Potts, a co-director for […]

Loved Ronnie’s comment about Nicole Richie:
“Nicole Richie ain’t pregnant, she just swallowed a grape.”
Great show! Glad Miss Ronnie wasn’t on the energy drinks, volume levels were much better 😉 Love the forum game! I like my man like I like the beach… no crabs.
For some reason, iTunes seems to have not published this yet, just thought I would let you know. I thought it was just me, then I tried re-subscribing to see what showed up in the iTunes queue and nothing is popping for 8/1/07
Cheers,
Eppy.
Mz. Ronnie,
Did you like the movie Sunshine? You talked about it on the show today but I couldn’t tell if you liked it or not.
I almost went to see it this week.
Anybody else see it? Would appreciate a review.
Ms. Ronnie
Great show today, The forum game sounds like a lot of fun, great answers you had.
I hate it when people some into the resturant that I work at and make all kinds of special requests. The other day I had a lady ask why her kid’s meals didnt come with a toy. I was like seriously??, thats McDonalds stupid.
I had lots of fun with you at the Simpson’s Movie.
Fausto/Marc/Ms. Ronnie,
I definitely can understand the vegansexual mentality. I’m a vegetarian and when there is a guy I am attracted to, and then I find out he’s vegan or vegetarian, I find them intensely hotter! Plus if you don’t eat meat, and the guys mouth tastes like a slaughterhouse, it makes things not so yummy. But since Gay is already a subset of the total population, finding the veg/vegan subset within gays makes finding a good date even more challenging.
Hey babies!!!!!!!
Rob…yes I loved “sunshine” it had the “events horizon” element to it, which scared the hell out of me!!!
Mike….what can I say I was the luckiest BMW in the theater nesteled betwixed you and Sal E, all the while
watching the Simpsons, who couldve asked for anything more……..hey Mike we’ll always have the one dollar
hotdog to remember the event by….And for everybody that has voted for us Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Yes , I would love for us to win the awards but if the fates should decide other wise some other podcast
might have the award but the FOF will always have the best audience!
I feel your vegan pain Miss Ronnie.. Two of my friends are vegans and they drive me crazy. Now, let me preface that I totally respect their decision and support them, I myself eat very little meat.. but there’s just something about vegans where I think it’s a control thing. Everywhere we go they are rude to the waiters and make a complete fuss over their orders, and when it’s not perfect they want it for free. It’s all about manipulating the world to their liking. And they are so hypocritical too, getting all upset over animal rights in China, then they go home and sit on their leather couches. Lame!
I know not ALL vegans are like this.. but there seems to be a vast number that fall into this category…
Mike
like you I totally support someones choice to go vegan, hell i even went there for about 3 months.
However, I never went out of my way to make peopel who chose to eat meat, uncomfortable. Nor
did I go so far as to make a group that I would be with conform to my dietary needs.
It’s a choice about what you want to put into your body, and yes I’ve been informed about all
the horrific deeds that are placed on animals and I dont approve of that treatment …… but there are
that segament of vegans that just take it too far, and as a waitress its like bad sex …please just pull out .
Ms Ronnie and Mike J.,
I agree that there are some vegans and others who go out of their way to make people feel as if they have to be catered to. I even know people who refuse to eat vegetables under any circumstance! I am lucky in that my one vegan friend never imposes themselves on others or makes a scene. He always brings something vegan to dinner parties and just orders what he can off of the menu when we go out.
Like I tell most people, I don’t put meat in my mouth unless it’s alive 🙂
On that note, wish me luck, I’ve got a date Friday night with a new guy I met and he’s… yup… Vegan!
Yikes.. that should have read “imposes himself…” I swear I’m not illiterate!
How can Marc diss The Muppets? They’re awesome:
Oops, here’s proof: http://youtube.com/watch?v=qqRDct1IDI8
I just have to say the photograph is the funniest and at the same time scariest thing I’ve seen all day.
And the corn thing…that’s almost on par with the Chicken of the Sea, Tuna of the Land thing.
G.S.
I don’t know what it is, but any show with Miss Ronnie is just so wonderful to me!
I don’t hate the Muppets. I grew up with the Muppets. I’m just not into them like I was when I was in fifth grade.
On the MyDeathSpace… I’ve noticed in the last few years it seems that people are obsessed with memorializing. Every time something bad happens folks want a memorial. It took 42 years for the Korean War Vets to get a memorial and it took dedication by vets and their families. That, to me, seems a serious endeavor. However, I can’t help but feel that there is some disservice in creating a Myspace page for a dead friend that inevitably is full of comments like “Hey Josh! Haven’t seen you since prom! What’s up?”. How do their families feel about this? And how much do you love your second cousin Joey (He was the best), if you have chosen to memorialize him on the rear window of your Rambler?
It seems to me people are searching for something or lacking something that forces them toward these untraditional forms of memorialization and mourning… I think MyDeathSpace is a first attempt to understand these motivations…
If my friends made a Myspace page for me after I died, I would haunt their asses, until they let me rest in peace…
The Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta is where the Muppets are. There is a puppet museum there. They have Wayland Flower’s Madame puppet on display.
I wanted to make a correction. I looked it up and I made a mistake. Sunshine opened in the UK in April of this year. I listen to Virgin radio at work through iTunes and they had commercials for Sunshine way back then. I just thought it was further back.
I’ve been listening to the show since February (I think) but I never had any reason to come and comment on anything. That has been drastically changed by this episode.
I only had about three hours of sleep, so as I was listening and playing Tetris (as I normally do if I’m not working on a drawing for school) I started to get really sleepy. I decided to lay down and keep listening. I think I may have dozed off because I started having a lucid dream where you three were sitting in my living room (on furniture that has been gone for about three years) conversing. I was there as well, but (and this is the reason I’m posting) I wasn’t involved. I had this desperate need to be part of your conversation but I just was unable to (probably because you wouldn’t have actually heard my input so it would have been futile). It was really weird and it made me feel upset with myself for not trying get in contact before. You guys have been a very important part of my life and I’ve feel like a one sided friendship has developed because of my lack of comments.
In the future, I hope to be more active in the community and to develop the friendship into a normal two-sided one.
oh… and p.s., If I had a twin brother, I would so have sex with him all the time.
Ronnie, you bring laughter to my soul!
