I saw a documentation about it last year. It is quite cruel but the interesting part is that those “masters” don’t identify themselves as gay. Moreover sex between young men who are not married yet is also quite common in some areas of Afghanistan as women are considered to be “dirty”.
Heartbreaking. What a horrible way to live. Michael Luongo’s description did not allude to the horror of these man/boy transactions.
I don’t think he had quite this experience.
I was speaking broadly about the acceptance of sex between men and boys. I’m sure the strict separation of sexes contributes to this practice. In many ways this reminds of the culture in Thailand and SE Asia where child sex slavery is huge.
