Save money and help the environment by keeping your razor sharp! They say you can keep your razor sharp for months! Plus you get the cool factor when people go into your bathroom and see a jeans leg hanging there you can say “Oh, that’s my strop.” How cool would you be to be able to use the word “strop” on a regular basis?

Good advice. I will try it.
But I think for the face a really good electronic shaver is still the best option. Particular when you have sensitive skin.
I disagree. I have VERY sensitive skin, and I’m very prone to ingrown hairs. For me, those electric ones make it worse. My aunt who works at the old folks home has a trick she uses with the very old men who have paper-thin skin. Her trick is to use lotion instead of shaving cream to shave with. It moistens and softens the hair, and it makes the skin more plyable. It works best immediately after showering. IT WORKS MIRACLES. Those shaving creams are made with lots of hydrophobic organic chemicals. (I’m not talking about organic as in “my chickens are organic cause they’re free to do as they please” or “my carrots are organic because they were grown without pesticides”, etc. Organic chemicals are hydrocarbons.) Anyway, no matter what biased “experts” say about those creams, hydrophobicity = no likey water – -therefore, dryer skin and hair. (Don’t believe me? Put some shaving cream directly on your bathroom mirror. Then buff it one the mirror [like waxing a car] until it’s clear. Then take a hot shower, and you’ll see that there’s NO STEAM on the mirror. Why? The shaving cream film left behind [which is not and will not be visible] is hydrophobic; therefore, bad for your skin and the environment. The same film stays on your skin after using it too.) So, Vaseline Intensive Care is my neck lube. Maybe Life Lube works…? lol
Well, I tried it and it works.
Thanks for the insight mododavid.
I don’t get a close shave with an electric razor on certain parts of my face, namely my neck, so I just stick with a wet razor. I use the hair conditioner at the gym to shave but at home I use the Kiss My Face Hemp shaving lotion.
