That is really disturbing. Apple recently blocked a Gay Sight Seeing tourism app as too adult because there was a photo of a man in a swimsuit. The internet provides us free exchange of ideas on one hand, but increasingly is turned over to corporations who control content and care more about profits and corporate image than openness and access to ideas. How long before iTunes filters out adult content including LGBT issues?
folks, remember, tech people rarely see the light of the sun, let alone skin. most of them still live in an adolescent state of unfulfilled stimulatory response. we have no control over those that control our technology. if we depend on technology, then we are slaves to people who are very very very different from us, and possibly so far removed from reality that we might wake up one day to find that we dont even fit in the world anymore!
So what do we do about it?
