Flying down to Texas at the last minute to be with my sick mom in the hospital, I always enjoy the sexy diversion of a men’s athletic themed magazine on the plane. When I saw […]

  1. When I saw the photos without reading the show notes,my first reaction was “Wow! The workout programs are really working for everybody!” Then, after reading the show notes my next thought was “I really must talk to Fausto about doing some publicity photos for me…” I think the Fausto composite is slightly better, because his head is more proportional to the rest of his body. Marc’s head is a smidge too small. Ronnie’s is about right.

Great to hear that Patricia has recovered well enough to be released to rehab. Many stroke survivors take much longer to get to that point, so this much progress is a good sign. Let’s all continue to hold her in the light, and the same goes for all of the members of the Fernòs and Felion families. The miracle is unfolding right before our eyes.

  2. Oh, yeah, I forgot one other comment on the faked magazine cover and the overall issue of magazines using fake or staged photos.

I question why a magazine that is supposed to be informative has to stoop to absolute fraud in order to sell issues. This is not limited to publications like Men’s Fitness, though. Even a prestigious publication like Architectural Digest is guilty of this. A few years ago, Regis Philbin commented on the process leading up to the photo shoot done on his and Joy’s New York apartment. He said a crew went in days before the actual shoot to get the apartment “ready” for the shoot. Besides the obvious steps of concealing things like lamp cords, they went as far as to replace vases, pictures, sculptures, and the like with stuff they brought in. He held up one of the pictures and remarked that the only thing in the photo that was actually his was the piano. Then, he said that after the shoot was done, they took back all of the stuff they had put into the photo and put back everything that the Philbins actually owned, leaving Regis to remark “You mean I can’t keep the stuff?!”

When it goes to this extreme, I have to ask, why even bother going to the person’s apartment? Why not just do everything in your own studio and pretend it’s on location? Similarly, why doctor a celebrity’s photo like this? Just keep the model in the photo, for crying out loud!

Ok, getting off my strategically placed designer soapbox…

    Hey guys:

Thanks so much for the words of support on today’s show! Made me smile from ear to ear to hear Ms. Ronnie talk about it!

I’m at work now and I really want to be on my way to Chicago instead 🙁
Awh well, there’s next years IML to look forward to….

Many “get well blessings” to Mamma Fernos from California too!

    Keepin it kinky in California,
    Your listener,

I’m so happy to hear shes doing better. I sadly have not been able to download and listen to the podcast as of yet, but at least she is doing better and I hope everything else is well. much dorky love to you and yours,
    Rochelle

  5. It’s good to have you guys back. I too experienced the dread of working with the medical community last year and understand fully how sometimes they can seem unable to do the simplest things. Just don’t let them get you worked up. Love that Marc mentioned Kankakee since that is where I am from even if it was in the most degrading way possible 🙂 David Letterman gave us a terrace once because we have the highest per capita crime rate…. Joliet ain’t got nothing on us.. I love that BabyTeeth album I bought it.. it was definitely worth the purchase.

I too, have not yet listened to the latest FOF. I just read through the bits about today’s show and felt compelled to write… Glad to hear Patricia is getting better, and I hope she will make a full recovery. Please let her know she is in our hearts and our prayers. L.

First of all… I loved the “Old School” FoF show with Baby Teeth! Always makes me smile! Still my favorite theme music. 🙂

Second… thanks for the shoutouts today. I have a new nickname to add to my profile: “POWER FAN!” 🙂

And finally.. I’m so glad that Patricia is on her way to doing better. And I’m glad you were able to be with her as soon as you could. She’s a very special lady… and you’re a lucky guy to have her in your life.

Loved the show. I’m at home today feeling crappy and it lifted my spirits. Isn’t that what it’s all about? 🙂

I’m just catching up on the shows after being out for a few days — good to hear you guys “live” again!

I’m so sorry to hear that Patricia had a stroke. That’s terrifying, but I’m glad to hear that she’s recovering. I’m REALLY glad Fausto could fly down to be with her. It’s so important to have an advocate with you when you’re in the hospital. Such a chaotic place, and so many things that can fall through the cracks if you don’t have someone to speak up for you and keep the doctors and nurses on task. I hope that Patricia will be home soon, and feeling back to her smart & sassy self! Keep an eye on her, Fausto, and don’t be afraid to call her doctor as often as you want/need to… It can only help!

(I’ve had a lot of experience with loved ones being ill and in the hospital, and I learned the hard way that it’s okay to speak up and demand answers… It sounds like your mom’s in a good facility; hope the medical staff is top-notch, too. Don’t forget: they work for you! I hope they’re able to figure out what’s going on and fix her up quickly…)

You’re all in my thoughts —
    with love, Maia

    p.s. Enjoy IML!

From what I’ve seen on the web, Mr. Roddick could use photoshop enhancement…elsewhere.
Unless – they were fakes, too? But why fake anything so little? And how can we trust the web, then?

  10. The nice thing about all this photoshop controversy is that it helps move society forward into thinking of photography as a form of art, and not as a representation of what is “REAL.”

It’s healthy when people start asking questions from their media sources about it’s authenticity or position to be “objective.”

  11. I had been away travelling for a couple of weeks so am just now catching up on the shows. I’m so glad our show Mom is doing better! All your babies love you!
