Although 1982 isn’t considered the “Golden Year of Hollywood,” it should be: it gave us some of the most beloved action & horror films and memorable comedies, as well as one of the best science fiction lineups ever.
Today we’re chatting with Peaches Christ about the amazing summer movies of 1982- Road Warrior, E.T., Poltergeist, Conan, Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan, Blade Runner, The Thing, Tron, Annie, and even Rocky III with Mr. T.

Oh, Peaches and Mark. TRON was my favorite film during that year. How could you find it boring? Being a young computer nerd I loved the ground breaking CGI. And Wendy Carlos’s music puts it over the top. Poltergeist is the runner-up. Scared me to death but it was a horror film with a happy ending which you don’t get a lot of these days.
For the record, I LOVED Tron. I even made my own Tron diorama out of construction paper for school!
Here’s the movie Annie Complex I was in over a decade ago:

Thanks for posting Annie Complex!
I really enjoyed listening to Peaches Christ on this podcast! So glad she got to talk about her trip to Turkey with her partner and about her upcoming season of Grey Gardens in Provincetown. Good luck!
