We’ve all had dates that went horribly wrong, but then later, as we tell our friends about the bad romance over and over again it becomes comedy gold.
Today, comedian Zach Zimmerman joins us to talk about his new show “The Twink on the Fire Escape,” an interactive performance pub crawl through Chicago’s Boystown where he tells the hair-raising story of a date with a young blond guy that ended with both of them on a fire escape clinging for dear life.

What a great guest! Sorry to hear Zach is moving to New York as I’d love to have him back on as one of your semi-regular guests (ala Brian Sweeny, etc).
I also have hope for Fausto: If you can pronounce “Sathers” properly, then you can pronounce “sadist” & “sadomasochism” properly. 🙂
Zach, I challenge you — for your next project — to portray a gay man who is somewhere around 60 to 65. My hope is you will find the project revealing on multiple levels.

This was an AWESOME show. Maybe because I’m not a local, but why does everyone call it ANN SATHERS when there is no “S” in the name? It’s like saying Nordstroms or Feast of Funs lol.
It’s a Chicago thing- they add an “S” to everything even though they shouldn’t- like Sidetrack’s, Berlin’s, the Jewel’s. I assume the are trying to make it possessive like Ann Sather’s Restaurant.
If I had a nickel for every time people called Ann Sather Restaurant “Ann Saaah-thurs Restaurant”…
