This is Ryan with 300 words (or less) to make your Tuesday a little less taxing.
The collage of costume changes, ripping rhythms, and personal reflections are what the Monster Ball is all about. I’m sure you’ve heard loads about the scantily dressed Lady Gaga, but what I liked most about the four act performance at Lollapalooza (or more appropriately Gagapalooza) was the personal level she took herself & the audience to.
Gaga talked about her first performance 3 years ago on the Lollapalooza BMI stage. The critics called her show “an absolute train wreck.” To acknowledge this Gaga brought up an old friend for a “flash from the past.” This really showed the audience that even the pop diva once stood in the exact same spot in Grant Park.

Shouting out commands of encouragement and emotional involvement, Lady Gaga sent ripples of energy into the crowd. This can be seen in her finale of “Bad Romance.”

Finally, Gaga was more than aware of her target audience. Here is the shout out to her “most loyal fans” before “Boys Boys Boys.”

Can’t wait to see the levels Lady Gaga reaches with her next tour.
