Fausto, you’ve made a small mistake:
“He thinks we need to get off this planet if our society to endure. He thinks great things will come if we are willing to explore the universe. And of course, he got a little sample of what space travel is like in zero gravity last year.”
Should be “He thinks we need to get off this planet for our society to endure”
or
“He thinks we need to get off this planet if our society were to endure”
