True to her dramatic nature, when up for elimination, Mimi Imfurst picked up contestant India Ferrah and carried her across the stage like King Kong on a bad hair day. Listen as we talk with Mimi Imfurst about why she got so physical and if she has any future in wrestling, plus does Adam Lambert need a diaper?

Aww.. I hadnt seen the episode yet, and now I know who got kicked off 🙁

MiMi was a great contestant, and her passion for being the best and fiercest was awesome 🙂

    • SarahH says:

If you don’t want to know how your favorite TV show ends, don’t go on the internet! Problem solved.

I think actually this show helped me to think differently for Mimi and gain a deeper appreciation for her as a performer, I’m not sure RuPaul “got” Mimi, but there are other stages to shine on, it’s a big world.

  2. Curtis says:

My major problem with Rupaul’s Drag Race is this whole dichotomy between fishy female impersonation drag and theatrical character based drag that cares little about illusion. The show CLEARLY prefers the fish over the meat. The judging is obsessed with “flawless” makeup, fashion, the perfect tuck, taste level, and realness. Look no further than last year’s winner for evidence.

The irony is that nearly every drag queen of any serious fame before this show – including Rupaul, has been character based, highly theatrical. Certainly all the queens with national prominence 3 years ago are exactly that: Lady Bunny, Heklina, Coco Peru, Varla Jean Merman, Peaches Christ, Jackie Beat etc.. Every one of them would fare poorly on this show, yet they really are the legitimate Drag Superstars.

    • Anti-Intellect says:

I’m not sure you’re being entirely fair. More than anything Rupaul values a polished queen, now whether or not the most polished queen is \realness\ or \camp\ or \glamor\ or \theater\ is entirely up to the individual competitor. Tyra Sanchez was a POLISHED QUEEN and did so within her own genre of drag. It’s unfair to attack a glamor queen simply because she is polished. There are,and have been many camp queens in Drag History who were both campy and polished, and Pandora Boxx neither Mimi were consistently polished.

      • shaddoe says:

it wasn’t until AFTER being on the show that both Pandora and Mimi achieved a bit more success. Pandora is pretty much a fan favorite and has the job of Drag Professor on Drag U.

Being a polished queen should be more about how one looks or presents themselves on the runway. cuz we saw that many times, behind the scenes, Tyra was anything but polished. She was in her own world half the time, she had little to no consideration for the other competitors, she was impolite, rude, and in one episode was just downright lazy, and even in drag still makes no attempt to try and feminize her voice or make it softer and lady like. and yet somehow, she managed to win. *shrugs*

  3. Curtis says:

Mimi did much in that interview to repair the damage done by what I would categorize as a fairly disastrous run on Rupaul’s Drag Race. She was edited/acted like the villain/victim on the show and the comments about her on some chat rooms are overwhelmingly negative and hateful towards her. I hope people hear this interview.

  4. Deven Green says:

You asked the questions I was dying to find out the answers to! Loved hearing the other side of the story.

  5. Jack says:

It might help listeners abroad that can’t watch the show because of copyright infringement to know that all the episodes of this season are being posted at this link:

    http://realitytvfan.org/category/rupauls-drag-race/

The previous season I had to wait for the finish and then buy them copied on dvds so this is pretty cool that it’s being posted now.

I like to download them as zshare here as it’s faster and convenient and I can put them in my ipod but they can also be watched directly from the site.

Sorry this is posted so late but I just got back from Japan and I didn’t know about this until today.

    • Andy says:

There is a better solution to watch everything outside US which you can usually only watch within the US.

      1. Download: Hotspot Shield
      http://hotspotshield.com/

After you downloaded and activated the Hotspot Shield you can watch everything like RuPauls Drag Race, Hulu etc. outside the USA. But there are a lot of pop-ups when you use Hotspot Shield.

      2. That’s why you should download AdBlock. This one is for Firefox but there also similar programs for other browser.
      https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/

Now almost all ads on websites are blocked.

    • Andy says:

I did not like Mimi Imfurst that much on RuPauls Drag Race. Probably because they portrayed her like an annoying bitch but I also think she overreacted sometimes.

On this show she was much more fun and her true, funny personality came trough. I think she was just not the right queen for RuPauls Drag Race where they obviously prefer polished queens who have not much to offer other than a beautiful outward appearance.

Oh and next time someone throws a cocktail, please throw one in RuPaul’s face. That would be a real, funny drama.

  6. MaxT says:

If Mimi has a future in Wrestling I hope she’ll kick Shangela ass the way she needs to 😉 LOL

  7. J Seth Anderson says:

I couldn’t believe that Mimi picked up that other queen in front of the judges. It kinda freaked me out. Great interview and I was glad to hear some behind the scenes info. Also, where the heck is this Andrew’s anus thing? I can’t find anything on Google.

  8. Barrett says:

I have to say, I was not a fan of Mimi on “Drag Race” and based on her appearance on FoF, I was initially rooting for her. I couldn’t believe she’d put her hands on someone. But, hey, people make stupid mistakes and she’s still hilarious. “I put her back where I found her.” Great line. I wish her the best!

  9. Anti-Intellect says:

I support the decision that Ru made to eliminate Mimi, but a part of me is going to miss Mimi Imfurst. The show needs a queen like Mimi, but arguably one that is more polished and stable. Mimi was a breath of fresh air in a lot of ways, and it saddens me that she let the pressure get to her. I liked her on the Christmas runway challenge, and I liked her during Drag Queens in Outer Space. I got what she was trying to do, and the clever reference to international drag she was trying to make. Again Mimi just let the pressure get to her. She should have never crossed the line of physically attacking another contestant. That is a no no.

  10. Angela says:

In regards to the “yogurt sample”, I have to share this. There’s a company here in NZ trying to market yogurt to men. Look at the slogan they chose: “Made For Men, By Men”. And look how big it is (325 g). After hearing that news story, I can’t help but think “Brian” has chafed himself raw on the job.

As for Mimi, I like her, and since I can’t watch clips of Drag Race yet (haven’t messed around with proxies yet), I didn’t know what was up with her carrying off a contestant. It doesn’t sound like anyone was hurt, just a line was crossed and people weren’t prepared for it. Until I see the clip I wouldn’t want to get caught up in sensationalism, like people did with Cloris Leachman grabbing Peaches Christ’s wig.
