Cameron’s comedy album has dropped! Join us as Cameron talks about making the album performing at our live show at Steamworks bath house for men. Find out what Cameron thinks of the space, the naked men and the mouthwash drinking fountain.

Plus all the hot news: Izabela Jaruga-Nowacka, a gay rights advocate dies on the plane that killed the Polish president, Designing Women actress Dixie Carter dies and the little actor who played the coroner in The Wizard of Oz is now ‘really most sincerely dead’ himself. He was 94.

  1. Thanks guys for mentioning the crash on the show.

Just a quick word of reassurance – while this is indeed a great loss for the country, Polish government is largely intact as the Prime Minister and all ministers are alive (President’s role is mostly ceremonial, unlike the US).

And thanks for the Battlestar Galactica references – I thought the same thing when I heard the news. 😀

  2. And for the record (btw, sorry for spamming comments, but I am typing this as I listen), your jokes are fine. Thanks to FoF, I started to listen to Red Bar Radio, and by comparison you guys are extremely tactful. So keep up the good work.

And, the tragedy aside, this situation just begs for some Polish jokes. I mean seriously, a plane crashing on its way to a mass WW2 burial site? It’s almost verbatim a Polish joke about a plane crashing into a cemetery.

Yes, I know. I am going to hell. 🙁

  3. I think that the best way to deal with tragedy is through humor. Of course there’s a difference between being playful and being disrespectful and I don’t think Fausto crossed the line with his Martina Navratilova impression. He was poking fun at how she talks, not about her struggle with cancer. If the listener was such a devoted follower of the show, he should know that Fausto’s comments weren’t coming from a place of negativity. I think poking fun at people is a form of celebrating their lives… not disrespecting them.

  4. Curtis says:

Fausto I do think you are (mostly) Sophia with a dash of Dorothy, a whiff of Blanche, and every time you mispronounce something a pinch of Rose. 😉

Suzanne on Designing Women regularly gave monologues on very liberal topics, reading the riot act to some southern yahoo, racist, sexist or cruel selfish rude person. The writers of the show are famously the very embodiment of the mythological liberal Hollywood elite and Suzanne was their mouthpiece. Dixie Carter however was a dyed in the wool Republican and was very uncomfortable delivering the monologues. It’s a testament to her talent that she was able to so convincingly be the most progressive character on TV at the time.

  5. Cole says:

I consume books and movies–(books, moreso), but I guess what I have to say is that I agree with you, Fausto. And I do agree with you that texting and facebook are kind of degrading language….it’s like 1984 Newspeak

  6. Barrett says:

Cameron is hysterical. Love it when she’s on the show.

  7. Chickengirl says:

haha I was wondering if you were gonna bring up my comment on Cameron’s performance at Steamworks…as I said before I think she is a hilarious lady and brings a lot to each podcast she is in, its just the Steamworks show didn’t make me laugh a whole lot that’s all..but I will always look forward to more appearances from her on the show!

  8. Cameron will always be my lesbian sweetheart! I love when she’s on the show!

  9. Ohh wow.. I love Cameron! 🙂

  10. I’m a bit scared on how powerful Twitter has gotten, and how they could at any time just ruin the fun.
