   Great show! Fausto, I think having black gay youth on Halsted follow the model of Japanese Harajuku teens and dress outrageously to get money from tourists is a terrible idea! Christina B. Hanhardt has written very insightfully about the marginalization of youth of color in gay neighborhoods in her book “Safe Space: Gay Neighborhood History and the Politics of Violence” (Duke University Press, 2013). The real problem is racism.

   Loved the conversation with Shea Coulée!!! Great tips about how to save money while doing drag! I look forward to seeing her perform and learning more about her life!
