Wow Curtis. You outdid yourself. So delicious looking. How did you do the dome?
Amazing, astounding.
That is simply incredible! Outstanding work! How long did it take to make the completed product, and how the hell do you move it!?
I can picture myself as a Godzilla Cookie Monster, devouring it delightfully. Sacrilicious!
OH MY GOD CURTIS! That is amazing!! I get all excited when I successfully put together one of those prefab gingerbread houses from Hobby Lobby! You worked it out!!
Damn!
How DID you do the dome?
Gorgeous! You are amazing Curtis. I look forward to seeing your gingerbread creation next year. How will you top yourself?
I watched the video again, and was reminded of those Sesame Street shorts where we learn how things are made– this was a cool glimpse at how people make magic! Thank you Curtis, for sharing this with us!
I’m always amazed at Curtis’ dedication and attention to detail at such a busy time of the year. WOWOW WOWOW!
Incredible! I love your work! I wonder what is inside the house, a little Steamworks room? 😉
Thanks for all the nice comments. It’s a project that takes me a long time each year, but it wouldn’t be the holidays without it. My friends who come to my annual party would be very dissapointed if I didn’t do one.
This year’s project took me about 3 weeks to complete in fits and starts between other commitments, a bad cold, and the usual holiday season craziness. The dome is a gingerbread cake baked in a metal bowl and then trimmed at the back to sit flat. against the wall. I finished it at 11:30 am on Sunday the 21st, much later than I usually do and just 4 1/2 hours before my party.
Thanks gain, I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!
