It’s Bill Haddad!
yep- that’s Bill!
Are the twins supposed to make it more creepy?
C’mon, Fellas! Let’s not get nasty here! This cartoon series in newspapers from 1900-1918 was about Foxy Grandpa, and the boys shown here in the bg were his grandsons! (His wife, Grandma, appeared in at least one panel.) In the six-panel Sunday comic, the boys would try to embarrass Grandpa or play a practical joke on him, but it nearly always backfired on them. Apparently (I have not yet researched this), the strip was so popular that a Broadway musical was mounted using the characters. The illusttration shown seems to be the cover of a song folio of the songs in the show. But the comic strip was family-oriented clean fun. Let’s keep it that way!
