Fresh off his solo show on a doomed chocolate whale, Marsian De Lellis is high on a rampage, after consuming platefuls of raw, vegan food on mother’s day. So try to keep up!
Listen as we chat with Marsian about the wonders of a raw food, Biblical diets, the changing nature of being gay, drag queen Nina Flowers and Iron Man 2 the movie, featuring plastic man Mikey Rourke.

I made a fool of myself today!
I was at the gym (so gay) listening to F.F. with my headsets on when Marsian started to read the letter from a listener. As Marsian began to read the letter with that “little voice”, I dropped the weights and laughed so hard that everybody at gym looked at me as if I was a crazy person.
I was so embarrassed! I’m such a shy gay guy and I don’t like that kind of attention!
You guys are too much sometimes!
PS: I love…LOVE when Marc laughs!
Me too– I was laughing all weekend listening to Marisan’s flawless Smeagol (Lord of the Rings) voice. Thanks for the love Rogerio! 🙂
thanks shy gay, that means a lot to me!

Does anyone have any more information on Biblical UFO encounters?
Oh!!! and it means a lot to me that you took your time to reply!
I’m a fan already!

Thanks Rojero! Lets be friends:
her name is Channel, not Chantal.
Thanks Cole, I thought she was awesome
She should just change her name to Fabulous.
she was awesome, Marsian. and yes, Marc she is fabulous. She was robbed in Drag Race. She should’ve knifed Santino….
I think Santino does it to himself already (with his mindless feedback.)
I think Marsian is your best guest. He’s so funny and has such a strong point of view. Bravo!
I think you are the best listener, Lindsey Grahm, – er, I mean dc_gay_man.
LOL

If this puppet thing don’t work out, maybe Marsian can get a job doing cartoon voices.
Even if this puppet thing DOES work out, I would LOVE to do cartoon voices. Do you have any leads on that?
Two words: You Tube.
Marsian, I wanted to thank you Marc, and Fausto for doing a show (partially) about raw foods. While I’m not even close to being a 100% raw foodist (or even a vegan), I’ve become fascinated with the concept for the past two years and have started working some of the principles into my own diet. It was nice to hear a sane perspective on the concept.
A sane perspective? As opposed to insane perspectives? I don’t think we have the market cornered on sanity around here. 🙂
Haha, fair enough. I just meant that a lot of people in the Raw community get REALLY preachy and judgmental about the subject and turn a lot of people off. Marsian’s comment in the previous show of something like, “I just decided one day to stop putting chemicals in my body and start drinking water” seemed like a very good point and approach to things.
Thank you for the compliment about our sanity, Vertical Q. Best wishes in your raw journey. I’m rooting for you and want to know how it is going. What concepts are you incorporating? Have you ever tried googling gay and raw?
Haha, you’re welcome. Turns out I actually have Googled that, but I probably shouldn’t have in the coffee shop I was sitting in at the time. Haha.
I’ve been incorporating a lot of green smoothies in my diet. I also try to have at least one large salad every day.
Basically, my approach has been to create a hierarchy in my food choices. If I have a raw option, I go with that, then cooked veggies, then meats, then breads, then processed foods. Basically, I weigh what options are available and try to go with the healthiest option first.
So far, it’s helped me lose about 20 pounds, and I feel physically and mentally better. My plan is to continue to work more and more raw foods into my diet over the next year, eventually getting to the about 80-90% raw level.

Another hilarious show with Marsian. :-)Just listened to the show in a café while enjoying the public holiday today.
I watched Iron Man 2 yesterday and I really don’t like it. I felt it was like Power Rangers, plus a modern version of Mc Gyver.^^ Within some minutes he suddenly had the idea for the new material and built that machine to make that material with all the tools around him. And of course a Russian guy was again the bad guy…so 1980s!
thanks Andy!

Orlando listeners, come to the Goblin Party Interactive (May 20th-30th) at the Orlando Fringe Festival where I will be performing as David Bowie!
Justin Bieber just got a Jonathon Livingston Seagull tattoo. So JLS is cool again.

Orlando Fringe Review: Growing Up Linda: Fudgie’s Death
by Scottie Campbell
Haus of Marsian
One of the perks of Fringe is the outdoor stage – a perk because admission is free to these performances! Heck, you don’t even need a Fringe button! Of course, as the saying goes, you usually get what you pay for, so the offerings there tend to be hit or miss but, in the case of Growing Up Linda: Fudgie’s Death, Fringegoers are fortunate, indeed.
Fudgie’s Death is a 15-minute excerpt from Growing Up Linda which chronicles the misadventures of Linda Carvel, fictitious heiress to the ice cream empire. Creator Marsian De Lellis, in town from LA appearing as David Bowie in IBEX Puppetry’s Goblin Party Interactive at Fringe, performs the piece. Dressed in a white rubbery dress, a pink fedora, lipstick reminiscent of ice cream sprinkles, with “Carvel” embroidered on his butt, De Lellis is an engaging performer who delivers the story with a deceptive nonchalance.
The “neo-noir tale” is cleverly told through pop-up books that are then projected on a screen (Heather Henson handles the live-feed). De Lellis narrates the story and uses a laptop to provide background music and sound effects. Technology meets traditional storytelling to great effect.
One small warning: the twisted story might not be for everyone. De Lellis seems to approach his art and life, in general, with very little filter. Chocolate combining with excrement probably would not sit well with those easily offended; luckily for De Lellis, Fringe attendees err on the adventurous side.
De Lellis created Gowing Up Linda while he was a student at CalArts School of Theater and has since performed the show nationally and internationally. We can only hope that this 15-minute version is testing the waters for a longer version at a future Fringe.
There is one more chance to see Growing Up Linda: Fudgie’s Death on Friday, May 28, 2010 at 7:00pm. For more information on the 2010 Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival, visit OrlandoFringe.org.
I love Marsian. Just wonderfully quirk-tastic!
DL’d this in anticipation of Marsian’s upcoming 2011 predictions. What a master mimic! I can only do a few voices and sound effects, so I’m in awe. I also can barely function as a vegetarian, so I only know one vegan recipe, but it’s a good one: blend the flesh of two small ripe avocados with 1 tablespoon cocoa and 1 tablespoon maple syrup, and you have raw chocolate pudding! The colour tends not to be great, but it’s tasty.
