Monkeying Around with Monkeypox

Step aside AIDS, move over Covid, there’s a new plague in town: Monkeypox. This week the World Health Organization declared the spread of Monkeypox a global emergency.

Men who have sex with men are the highest risk right now, but that could change very quickly if our health care system doesnt get it under control.

Today comedian Matt Brown, Ms Brown if ya nasty, joins us to take a look at the hilariously named but definitely no joke Monkeypox pandemic, and how for gay men who lived through the AIDS crisis, this feels like deja vu all over again.

Pride Marches On

Ever since the Stonewall Riots ignited the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement in 1969, most major cities have had Pride Parades until the Covid Pandemic of 2020 where it was all put on pause.

This year will be the first Pride Parade we’ve had in two years, and while we are still concerned over Covid, there’s now also the worry over violence, like recently in Idaho where a van full of Fascist militia were ready to harm people celebrating Pride.

Joining us today is our pal Jack Ryan, the host of The 10% Percent Show that ran on Chicago Cable Access in the late 80s and early 90s, to take a look at the changing face of Pride.

Drag Queens vs Fascists

Fascists are now more critical of drag queens than Aubrey O’Day reading Alyssa Edwards for her perfume ad in Season 5 of Drag Race (look it up). But is all this commotion just a distraction from the January 6 hearings on the Republicans’ sloppy attempt at a political coup to end democracy?

Can’t these furry horned right wing fascists sashay away?

Today comedian Dan Cass, who sees the January 6th hearings as some of the best theater, joins us to make sense of the storm cloud of madness brewing.
