For many people it’s important to not just come out of the closet, but to break down all barriers when it comes to their sexuality. It’s these barriers that hold us back everywhere: in our jobs and in our lives.
Today comedian Kevin Allison joins us to talk about opening up creatively by exploring hiss sexuality at a kink camp. You may remember Kevin as the openly gay cast member of MTV’s comedy show The State from the early 90s.

Kevin was hysterical! And if I were red-haired I would think he were my long lost twin. I, too, love the kinkier side of sex, specifically Dom/sub play. Wish he had talked more about what happened where the guy come over and he was naked and blindfolded on his knees. I know the exact feeling he was describing.
I loved Kevin too! I miss him already. Re: the bondage story, that’s for when he comes back on the show!
Kevin Allison’s laugh is giving me life today! And you boys barely had time to talk about anything else… that’s when you know you’re having fun.
Such a candid take on sexual topics that it left me squirming in my seat. I had to pull my earbuds out twice to make sure it wasn’t loud enough for others to hear here at work.
Great job, boys… you always make me smile.
ha! i know i live in a bubble (San Francisco). This is dinner conversation in these parts. 😀
Totally loved today’s show Kevin was such a lovely guy. I can’t help thinking it would be great to get him on a show with Larry LaFontaine two great laughers in one show 🙂
We would do that, but then the universe would end.

I don’t think I have ever heard anybody laugh that much! This made my federal shut-down blues better.
way behind on listening to the show (was away attending yet another wedding). what a GREAT show to come back to (not that they aren’t all great, they are). i haven’t finished listening and i feel compelled to comment. agree 100% with all the previous comments, except the squimish part. 🙂 (ugh, i’m so jaded this conversation was normal to me?!).
I’m looking forward to you having kevin back again and again (and again).
Great episode! I watched The State on DVD a few years ago, and I’ve been a fan of all the follow-up shows done by some of the cast members, but I always wondered what happened to “the red-headed gay”. For the longest time I had him confused with Patrick Bristow! 😉
