Glitter Day, the world’s first LGBT centric winter holiday came and went without hitch in most parts of the world but sadly, the horrific shootings in Arizona left the US in mourning.
Film maker Kerthy Fix joins us to take a look at some of the more extraordinary news and spread the word about her new documentary Strange Powers, an in-depth look at Stephen Meritt and the Magnetic Fields.

Uh oh, I’d better watch my back going down the stairs now, shouldn’t I?
And yes, Kerthy, I’m personally convinced that everyone worth knowing has to move to or at least visit New Zealand once. We have a spare room and some couches to crash on, if y’all need ’em. 😉
I think Kerthy will be there tomorrow. Be sure to make her a nice fluffy bed and fluffy pillows, wink wink.
Also she likes avocados for breakfast with her eggs.
Does she prefer coffee or tea? Cuz we can get coffee beans straight from Cuba, here; I’m preparing some right now. 😉
Kerthy’s comparison of Sarah Palin to Hilary Clinton in the 90s hit the nail on the head.
Is Arthur C. Clarke really shctuping little brown boys in Sri Lanka?
He was rumored to have an affinity for that, but he’s not alive anymore.
It could be worse. It could have been Ray Bradbury.
Welcome back boys!

Actually here’s an article of him admitting to having sex with minors in Sri Lanka. Ulp! 🙁
Glad you are back with a new show. 🙂
I was surprised when you mentioned one of my best friends on the show. I told all my friend about Glitter Day and that they should celebrate it, unfortunately I could not take part as I had to stay in bed for some times due to influenza. 🙁 He took the picture with Berlin’s most popular and well known drag queen, Nina Queer.
Everyone who visits Berlin should see Nina Queer, she has her own bar with different shows and events. Maybe you can interview her one day.
I loved those guys! It was really exciting and fun to see all those photos of the listeners celebrating Glitter Day in their own respective cities.
man I was jonesing hard for some new FOF!!! glad to see you guys back!!!
Thanks Chix Gal! Did you miss us?
Amazing guest. I’ll be checking out her projects.
Kerthy is reading this going “awww!” She says thanks for listening and hopes to meet each and every one of you after the film screening! Be sure to ask her about Stephin Merritt’s hearing problems.
Hi!
Thanks for featuring my little Glitter Day party on this show!
I’m so happy the shows are back after your “recharging” pause. My walk to work is gonna be fabulous again!!!
Ciao!
Federico
Hey boys,
So glad to hear that the break was reviving & that your Glitter Day was relaxing. I love to hear how everything is always going. I’m sorry to hear about the website; I thought it was just my internet connection. Don’t let flakey webmasters get you down, it just means we’ll save our Fresh posts for later. =v)
Hi. I’m the boyfriend of Federico faramir. Our glitter day was a very good party…thanks’s for the purpose. It’s a greet idea. ;-))))))
Cristian
Hi Chrisitan– which one in the picture are you? Wish we could have celebrated with you guys, it looked like a lot of fun!
I’m the one in the center with the red t-shirt!
Great show, guys! Glad you’re back and good seeing you and meeting Kerthy at Berlin. (Love the story behind her name.)
