First post! Love Jeffree Star! Haters beware, Jeffree will kick your ass!!!!
OMG. You asked my questions! I was sooo excited. Im glad to hear Jefree is going to go mainstream! He is gonna have everyone talking!!! What a great and super real person. You go Jefreeeeee!
I love Jeffree Star! You asked my questions, thnaks. Love him, love his style. This interview proves to me that in the end he’s a real person just like the rest of us. Love you Jeffree!!
I’ve got to say before this interview i did not like Jeffree Star, i thought he was a total myspace whore(like Tila Tequila), but he’s really funny and surprisingly more down to earth than his “Queen of the Internet” persona. Thanks for that interview, i mean his music isn’t exactly my thing, but i’ll check out his new cd. How did you guys schedule that interview? Through myspace or his website?
AWW <3 LOVE J*!!!
there are way too many people drunk on hater-ade, talking smack out there..jeffree is really cool and an inspiration for the modern, young gay man… he can fuck my boyfriend any day!
BarbieBoy07- His people approached us, but they probably responded to the emails that all of you guys sent out to him via myspace asking him to come on the show.
Jeffree was wonderful, wasn’t he? I bet his shows are a lot of fun.
Absolute favorite line of the show:
Fausto reading SAL-E’s question: “Who’s your biggest inspiration and influence?”
Jeffree Star’s response: “…there is not any one person that I look up to. You know, I’d rather not look up to anyone.”
Hilarious!
Earlier when I left the comment, “fame for fame sake,” on the msg boards it negated the work Jefree has obviously put in over the last 7 years. While I stand by my critique that Jefree appropriates very liberally, he is in good company along with Jeff Koonts and Andy Warhol. This is the first time I’ve heard Jefree present himself sans the public personae and I found him very sweet, articulate, and obviously intelligent.
I’m looking forward to my tasering…Thanks for a great show!
I feel the same as BarbieBoy. Today’s show overcasted the thoughts of MySpace whore-dom. Great show!!
On his MySpace page he seems really narcissistic and full of him self but in this interview he dosen’t seem like that at all! he seems like a great guy. awesome interview guys! 🙂
Cool show, you guys! Jeffree was so nice and interesting. Cool to see what goes on behind the scenes of such a megastar on myspace. Keep it coming!
aaww what a sweetie so young and such an interesting road ahead for jstar.
Love to see how his hair is for the fashion shot versus the gun range!
I was one of the (apparent) few who had never heard of Jeffree until Marc and Fausto announced that they were interviewing him. I don’t know how I could have missed the Queen of the Internets, but hey– I can’t pay attention to everything at all times ya know.
But that’s what’s so great about this show- it helps you get to know some people you probably should know– or will know eventually. Can’t tell you how many times I found out about someone here, and then next thing I know, they’re EVERYWHERE.
So Jeffree, your star is definitely on the rise. 🙂
I really enjoyed the interview. It’s always nice to find out that there is a real person behind the personality. I think what bugged me most about when it was announced that Jeffree would be on the show is how many people lunged at it and had such awful things to say. People seem to forget that there is still a person behind the persona.
Hope to hear from Jeffree again soon!
I’m sure I’m gonna get hit over the head from saying this, but after reading all the positive responses above I feel I have to say it: I found him to be one big cliché…
…which is sad, because I felt like that was exactly what he was trying to avoid.
nice hair. 🙂
Great interview guys! You really know how to bring out the human side of all your guests. I wasn’t a fan of Jeffree Star before, but now I’m definitively going to give him a second chance. I like how you compared his work to Cindy Sherman’s photography, that was spot on.
Awesome interview guys! 🙂
So, um, he friended a bunch of people on Myspace and once did Nicole Richie’s makeup. Huge star. HUGE STAR!!
ok, crawling out from under rock, squinting at bright circle in sky… who the hell is Jeffree Star?
He does look a little bit like Bree Van der Kamp though. Except she would never use that kind of language. ;-P
I’m with Jonas here, he pretty much confirmed all my expectations.
