You’re in for a treat today! Levi super-soaks us with his music and his voice, performing live in the home studio his hits and songs from his upcoming album “Where I Belong” scheduled to be released in January 2009.

Levi is one of those rare musicians who’s sassy personality equally matches his mastery of the piano and the power of his music is delivered by his showmanship

  1. YAY!! Great show – good to hear Levi on the show again and to see the video of one of my all-time favourite songs from past shows too. It’s just too good of him to do a special show for my up-coming birthday (Nov 3) hehe. If he’s here until next year we expect to hear him on every show!!
    MORE! MORE!

  2. Chuck Dunn says:

I’m a ” LONG-TIME ” listener, and I have to say this was probably the most enjoyable FOF podcast I’ve listened to. I’ve never posted a comment, even though I hear you Falsto asking us to do so all the time.. but this show just lit a fire under my ass and here I am. I also stopped the podcast to watch the YouTube video… GREAT.

    Thanks for a WONDERUL show…

    Chuck :- )

  3. Jos says:

You are really grazy…thx for this great show…

  4. Michael says:

What a great FoF song – “Lay me down with the Feast of Fools” sounds like a new tag line to me?

Love love love the whole musical interludes that puncuated the conversation.

I love Defying Gravity…his lyrics remind me of Forbidden Broadway

I already put November 3rd on my calendar.

    Great duet Fausto!!!!

Looking forward to hearing Levi on the show again before he leaves in March!

  5. DCRyan says:

I am head over heels IN LOVE with Levi. I always love to hear him because I had a similar baptist upbringing (minus the Exodus stuff, thank god), and I love singing and listening to gospel/soul music.

I think Levi is the only performer that perfectly encapsulates my gay side and my gospel side, and I relate to his music so much for that reason. Keep doing what you’re doing, you are extremely talented!!

  6. detnyre says:

Listening to Levi gives me goose bumps…. Looking forward to his next Album….

  7. Love it, love it, love it. This show made me tingle in my pants. 🙂

  8. Daniella says:

Loved it. Loved, loved, loved it!

  9. Tallguynb says:

This one was a delight from start to end 🙂

  10. ibox2000 says:

Great show. Levi was fun. What a talent!

  11. Calvin F says:

what a fantastic show!! I love it!! Levi’s voice really gives me goosebumps…can’t wait for the album

  12. RcktMan says:

Hmm… I thought I commented on this show – but I’ll have to do it again I guess!

Loved the show… Loved all the singing, and loved the rapport you guys had together! These are some of my favorite shows, where we get intimate performances by sometimes unknown but other times our favorite artists.

I’ve been a fan of Levi’s since I first heard him on Feast of Fools. In fact, it’s because of Feast of Fools that I became a fan of his. So thanks Fausto and Marc for introducing such great new talent to us.

Looking forward to seeing Levi Live as well. Michael, let’s go! 🙂

  13. PureeTofu says:

I loved this episode, almost as much as the one with him earlier this summer!

Still, the best part is knowing that he met his lover in a leather bar.
Hmmm, maybe I should hangout at Flex more here in Raleigh, NC.

Also, Southern VS Northern gays / families are vastly different. Having been raised in the South by parents from the North, I really got the best of both worlds and I can’t wait to see Sordid Lives on iTunes!

  14. Dan-X ! says:

Wow. One of the best shows ever. Levi is hot, Hot, HOT!!!

Wanted to note a couple of things…

The guy who played Jerry Lee Lewis in the Johnny Cash biopic Walk The Line was also a gay man, Waylon Payne, who is the son of the late Sammi Smith. She was famous for her version of Help Me Make It Through The Night – a huge crossover hit that charted at #1, I believe, in both the country and pop charts in the early seventies. Like Levi, Waylon Payne battled his own religious demons before accepting himself and coming out. I don’t think that he’s garnered near the recognitioin he deserves and I wonder if his open sexuality has held him back. Maybe Levi can hook him up with ONJ too!!! You can read about Payne in this article here: http://www.fwweekly.com/content.asp?article=4508

Also, Sordid Lives is most definitely about Texas! The logo for the series is the shape of the state made from a tipped-over bottle of cocksucker red nail polish. I believe in the movie they mention a town called Anson and in the first episode of the series they identify one location as Winters, TX. These are small towns outside and around the ‘big city’ of Abilene, Texas. My partner of ten-years grew up in the small towns outside of Abilene that provide the setting for Sordid Lives and I can attest that the movie and series present a very accurate portrayal of the natives!! Hell, I’m from Fort Worth and many of the characters in Sordid Lives are just like folks in my own family.

Anyway, fantastic show guys!!! What y’all are doing is soooooo much better than 99% of the shit put out by the mainstream media. Hope y’all get rich and famous but never sell-out. Love ya, mean it, bye.

    ~smooches, dah-ling~

  15. Love the show Levi is a great guest.. Love his voice!!

  16. Great voice and great attitude to love and life!

  17. Glad you guys like the Levi Kreis “unplugged” episode as much as we enjoyed making it!

Please take a moment and click on the “share and save” text underneath the headline (it’s in blue) and it will take you to a series of buttons where you can post a link back on your Facebook profile, Stumble Upon, Digg, etc…

These click help others find out about our show and Levi’s music. It’s also a great form of activism, as gay content like this doesn’t always make it to the forefront of the social network hoopla.

    Thanks!- Fausto

  18. Brad says:

I got into Levi because of you. I’m still listening after 3 years, just not participating as much on the site b/c I’m so busy. I of course absolutely love Levi and really really wish he’d play Dallas. There is quite an audience here and could play a place called The Granada Theater. Keep going guys!

  19. Hey, I almost forgot about you. You use to go by Got 80s. Good to see you again.

  20. Hey guys, link back to this show and get the episode with Levi on the top 10 “Best of FOF”

  21. Jon-paul says:

Levi is one of my favorite music artists and songwriters. His lyrics are powerful. I have always admired his story of his personal journey as a gay man also. Thanks for having him on again. He’s not hard on the eyes also.

  22. Levi’s openess about sexuality and his philosophy about love are incredibly refreshing. And, its very hot that he hangs out at the Faultline. It was a hoot listening to you guys immprov and make up funny songs. Wonderful show today guys thank you!

  23. Saulo says:

Another mega show!!! Levi is a very talented artist and thank you FOF for bringing him and his music to us!

  24. I really like this guy! Amazing voice and excellent sense of humor! 🙂
Great, great show!… I love the music and all.

BTW I went and bought every album from Levi just now (the three in the iTunes Music Store, Spain’s Store)… of course I used the link from your website…

    Talk to you later… Kisses!!!

  25. Jonas says:

Sorry guys, Levi is taken. He doesn’t know it yet, but we’re getting married.

  26. I started listening about four months ago and downloaded about a year’s worth of FOF. I just recently caught up to present day, and I have to say the show with Levi is one that I kept on my iPod to listen to multiple times. Thank you Feast of Fools for introducing me to so many interesting people.
